Already on the podium of the European KZ2 Championship in 2021, the Sodikart chassis has just followed up with another Vice-Championship title, this time at world level. Perfectly supported by the CPB Sport team, Senna Van Walstijn achieved a great performance, moving up from 11th to 2nd place in the FIA Karting International Super Cup at Kristianstad. The Dutchman took pole position and set the lap record in the Final, and came very close to victory in Sweden.

For the second consecutive year, the Birel ART factory has been crowned FIA Karting European Champion in the premier KZ category. After his brilliant victory in Germany, Riccardo Longhi won the title after constant effort and perfect teamwork. In Italy, the Birel ART chassis also distinguished itself with the Charles Leclerc by Lennox Racing team. 2nd in the Final ahead of his team-mate Viktor Gustavsson, Pedro Hiltbrand became European vice-champion, while the young Laurens Van Hoepen finished the European KZ2 Championship in 3rd position.

Despite the excellent initial expectations, the outcome of the KZ World Championship and the KZ2 International Super Cup was not the one hoped for by the Leclerc by Lennox Racing team, whose drivers still showed a winning pace behind the wheel of the CL Karting by Birel ART chassis with TM Racing engines.

The Birel ART brand continues to win at the highest level worldwide! And if it isn't with the official team, success comes with a private team, demonstrating once again that the Italian chassis is indeed the current benchmark in the KZ and KZ2 categories. Simone Cunati dominated the Final of the KZ2 International Super Cup masterfully, while Giuseppe Palomba ensured a double despite starting in 7th position. 2019 World Champion and reigning European KZ Champion Marijn Kremers, his Ricciardo Kart colours and TM engine were just 4 tenths from a new title. They clinched the Vice-World Championship after a difficult but perfectly managed event by Birel ART.

All the pieces of the puzzle are being put back in place as for the International Karting calendar. In recent days, the FIA ​​has officially canceled the 1st round of the OK-OK Junior European Championship in Kristianstad and consequently the single-gear categories will have a 3-stage Championship: Zuera on August 2nd, Sarno on August 23rd and Wackersdorf on September 13th. The KZ classes, on the other hand, will compete in the European Championship on 2 events: the first in Adria on August 16th and the final in Genk on September 6th.

After its world crown in 2019 to celebrate the brand's 60 years of existence, the Birel ART Racing Team is getting ready for more success in 2020. International high-level competition remains the scene of the most spectacular sporting and technical confrontations between the main chassis manufacturers, and Birel ART intends to showcase its skill by aiming for the top places in the four categories in which it is involved.

David Vidales gains the second step of the podium at the KZ2 International Super Cup on the South Garda Karting in Lonato, while Tony Kart ends in top ten in the KZ final with four drivers. Also on the last round of the FIA Karting season, the Tony Kart Racing Team is the author of an excellent performance. The name of Pedro Hiltbrand, Spanish driver from Blanes (Girona) born in May 1996, is strictly connected to that of CRG in International Karting. He has been competing among the fields of the Italian outfit for several seasons and won the OK World Title in 2016, the KZ2 International Super Cup and the OK European Championship.
