Xcel Motorsport has confirmed that GB3 race winner Lucas Fluxa will join the team for the 2026 season. The Spanish driver stepped up to GB3 last year following a race-winning F4 campaign in his homeland in 2024.
A successful move up to GB3 last year resulted in an eighth-place finish in the final standings, after a late-season surge up the order that included a breakthrough victory at Donington Park, while also establishing himself as a regular top-six performer.
The 17-year-old returned to GB3 action at this week’s media day test at the same circuit, and ended the event with the ninth quickest time, as he got to grips with the upgraded Tatuus MSV GB3-025 car and his new team.
Lucas Fluxa: “I’m really excited to be joining Xcel Motorsport for the 2026 GB3 Championship. The team has shown great potential, and I’m looking forward to working closely with everyone to build on my experience I gained last year in this Championship and push for strong results.”
Team Manager Gary Bonnor: “It’s fantastic to complete our 2026 line-up with Lucas. Having an experienced second-year driver is incredibly valuable, and he will bring solid experience and knowledge to the team. We’re looking forward to seeing how he integrates and contributes to our progress this season.”
