DKM Crowns its Champions in Wackersdorf

Wackersdorf. The German Kart Championship came to a grand conclusion last weekend (September 19–21) with a thrilling showdown. Nearly 200 drivers competed at Pro Kart Raceland, battling under blazing sunshine and temperatures reaching 30°C for the final championship points. In front of packed grandstands, motorsport fans witnessed action-packed racing and the decisive moments in the title fights.

The 2025 champions are: Danilo Albanese (DKM), Marc Alexander Reistrup (DJKM), Jayden Thien (DSKC), Devin Titz (DMKM), Tom Wickop (X30 Junior), and Lars Ramaer (X30 Senior).

DKM: First win of the season for Emilien Denner – Albanese seals the title

Everything was still open in Wackersdorf’s premier DKM class, with multiple drivers in contention for the crown. Dion van Werven (CPB Sport) set the pace in qualifying, but championship leader Danilo Albanese (KR Motorsport) struck back in the heats to claim pole position for the final. However, the Italian had a poor start in the decisive race, with Stan Pex (SP Motorsport) seizing the lead, followed by Markus Kajak (Formula K SRP Factory Team), van Werven, and Robert Kindervater (Formula K SRP Factory Team). Emilien Denner (Formula K SRP Factory Team) soon entered the fight, pulling off a bold move to overtake both Kajak and Pex to grab the lead.

From there, the Frenchman controlled the pace and celebrated his first victory of the season. Behind him, Daniel Stell (Kartshop Ampfing) charged through the field to claim second place, with Pex finishing third. Kajak initially crossed the line fourth but was dropped by a time penalty, promoting Enzo Bol (SP Motorsport) to fourth and Albanese to fifth. That result was enough for Albanese to clinch the championship.

“I’m very happy to win this title. We had a strong season, the whole team worked hard for this, and I want to thank everyone for their support,” said the new champion. Estonian driver Markus Kajak also secured the Road to DTM Trophy, receiving the entry fee for the 2026 ADAC GT4 Germany from ADAC.

Final Championship Standings – DKM
1. Danilo Albanese – 394 pts
2. Markus Kajak – 319 pts
3. Emilien Denner – 285 pts
4. Dion van Werven – 276 pts
5. Daniel Stell – 275 pts

DJKM: Constantin Papst wins finale – Marc Alexander Reistrup crowned Champion

The German Junior Kart Championship again featured an international field in Wackersdorf, with the spotlight on Constantin Papst (DAP TB Racing Team). The youngster dominated from start to finish, taking pole position, winning the heats, and the Super Heat to secure pole for the final. In the decisive race, Papst left no doubts, leading confidently from the start to secure victory. Behind him, Martina Rumlenova (MVM Racing Team) impressed as his closest challenger, while Mattao Mason (CRG Holland), Filip Planeta (Hagemann Racing), and Maxim Becker (Haupt Racing Team) filled the remaining podium spots after 22 laps.

Drama struck for title contender Marc Alexander Reistrup (CRG Holland), who was forced to retire in lap nine. Despite the setback, the Dane had enough points to secure the championship. “We had many great battles this season against strong competition. I’m delighted that it was enough for the title in the end,” said Reistrup.

Final Championship Standings – DJKM
1. Marc Alexander Reistrup – 388 pts
2. Mattao Mason – 356 pts

DSKC: Final win for Jeffrey Fikse – Title glory for favorite Jayden Thien

Arriving in Wackersdorf as the clear favorite, Jayden Thien (Belgium Racing) underlined his strength with pole position in qualifying. He went on to dominate both the heats and Super Heat, starting the final as the leader. But it was Jeffrey Fikse who made the best getaway in the final, taking the early lead ahead of Matej Preuss (Formula K SRP Factory Team), Thien, Ben Dörr (Dörr Motorsport), and Rasmus Buxbom Andersen (Solgat Motorsport). DTM driver Dörr impressed on his return to karting, running up front until a technical issue forced him out.

At the front, Fikse stayed in control and secured a convincing victory. Preuss finished second, while third place was enough for Thien to crown himself champion. Buxbom Andersen finished fourth, and Rick Hartmann (Falcon Racing Team) completed the top five. With two victories and the overall title, Thien reflected on a strong season: “It was my first year in this class, so much was new for me. But from the start we were among the frontrunners, and we managed to hold that position until the very end.”

In the KZ2 Masters classification (for drivers aged 35+), Nathalie Kreitz (VDB Racing Team) claimed the championship trophy.

DMKM: Devin Titz crowns perfect season with fifth win

The German Mini Kart Championship finale was once again the Devin Titz (CRG Holland) show. Already crowned champion before the weekend, the youngster continued his flawless form: pole position, two heat wins, Super Heat victory, and finally, another dominant final performance.

Although Declan Jurgens (CRG Holland) briefly led at the start, Titz retook control by lap two and powered to his fifth win in five races, completing an unbeaten season. “It was a great year. I won all five races, and a big part of that success is thanks to my father and the whole team. Many thanks to them,” beamed the champion.

Behind Titz, the fight for runner-up honors provided plenty of excitement. Henri Möhring (7L-Performance) produced another fighting drive, recovering from a poor qualifying to finish third behind Jurgens. That result secured him second in the championship, ahead of rival Alex Huizer (CRG Holland), who finished fourth. A spectacular multi-driver battle decided the final podium spots, with Edin Keserovic (DAP Lanari Racing Team) emerging fifth.

5. Leo Klok – 182 pts

X30 Junior: Tom Wickop seals the title – Emilio Bernd wins in photo finish

Twenty drivers contested the X30 Junior finale, with the championship battle still alive. Points leader Tom Wickop (VM Energy Corse Germany) arrived with a comfortable advantage and a clear goal: the title. Guest driver Cesc Pieterse (Haupt Racing Team) stole the spotlight in qualifying, but Wickop responded by winning both heats and regaining the overall lead. In the Super Heat, Joelina Denzel (Ebert Motorsport) impressed with victory but could not prevent Wickop from holding the top spot.

In the final, Wickop led from the start and looked set for a controlled race, but Emilio Bernd (EB-Sportpromotion), Carlos Nees (NEES Racing), and Pieterse kept the pressure on. The quartet staged a thrilling fight that went down to the final lap, where Bernd used the slipstream to snatch victory in a photo finish. Wickop settled for second but could celebrate the championship. Nees claimed third, Pieterse fourth, and Jonathan Maier (AT-Motorsport) fifth.

“Right from the season opener, I had a good feeling. My goal was always to win the championship, and it feels amazing to have achieved it,” said Wickop with the trophy in hand.

Bonconseil led the standings Saturday evening, with Ramaer third and Garcia Lopez fifth. On Sunday, Garcia Lopez won the first Super Heat, while Kara Osman claimed the second.

In the final, Ramaer made a decisive start, grabbed the lead, and never let it go. With consistent pace, he controlled the race to secure the victory and the championship. “This season had highs and lows, but everything came together this weekend, and we managed to win the title,” said the new champion. Special Awards

Alongside the six championship categories, Wackersdorf also decided the special classifications. Svenja Dreher (DSKC) won the Ladies Cup, rewarding her strong season. The Team Championship went to CRG Holland, who collected key points through the titles of Devin Titz (DMKM) and Marc Alexander Reistrup (DJKM).

With the finale in Wackersdorf, an exciting German Kart Championship season comes to an end. But the focus is already shifting forward: from 2026, the DKM will feature a revised class structure with Minis, the new OK-N Junior and OK-N categories, and the two familiar shifter classes. Five events are planned again, including one abroad.
