Munich. Registration for the new season of the German Kart Championship (DKM) is now open. Once again in the upcoming season, Germany’s premier national karting series will provide optimal conditions for young talents and ambitious drivers, featuring five championship classes. Online registration for the DKM title classes is now available via adac.de/motorsport.
For 2026, the DKM will start with a newly structured class landscape. The flagship category remains the top class of the German Kart Championship, KZ2. A new feature is the second shifter kart category, which will be contested for the first time as the German Shifter Kart Cup (DSKC). Also new are the two OK-N categories: the German Junior Kart Championship (DJKM) will be held for the first time in the OK-N Junior class, while the OK-N category in the senior ranks will carry the title German Senior Kart Championship (DSKM). The championship line-up is completed by the German Mini Kart Championship (DMKM).
The number of registered drivers is limited. In the KZ2 (DKM), OK-N (DSKM), OK-N Junior (DJKM), and Mini (DMKM) classes, 36 grid positions are available per category, while the KZ2 Cup (DSKC) allows a maximum of 54 drivers. A special regulation applies to the OK-N Junior category: should more than 36 valid registrations be received by April 15, 2026, the grid may be expanded to up to 54 participants.
The registration fee for all classes is €2,700, which also includes a test day on the Friday of each race weekend.
A total of five race weekends are scheduled for the 2026 season. The championship will kick off from May 1 to 3 at the Motorsport Arena Mülsen. As the season progresses, the series will make its first-ever appearance in Cheb, Czech Republic, marking a special international event. This will be followed by races in Ampfing and Kerpen, before the traditional season finale in Wackersdorf.
