With just one week remaining before the start of the season, anticipation is building rapidly for the opening round of the 2026 Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy.
More than 240 drivers, representing over 30 nations, are set to gather at the Cremona Circuit, marking one of the strongest turnouts in recent RMCET history.
The impressive figures confirm the positive momentum already seen throughout 2025 and reinforce the Euro Trophy’s position as one of the most competitive and internationally appealing championships within the Rotax ecosystem.
The spotlight inevitably falls on Senior MAX, which has reached 124 confirmed drivers and is now officially fully booked well ahead of the event; a clear reflection of the category’s depth and popularity. Strong grids are also expected in the remaining classes, with Junior MAX, Mini MAX, DD2 and DD2 Masters all contributing to a balanced and high-level entry list across the board.
Among the teams already confirmed for the event, the 2026 opener will also welcome the presence of Ward Racing, led by Joakim Ward, marking the Swedish team’s entry into the Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy paddock alongside the established structures regularly competing in the series.
With participation at such a high level and an increasingly diverse and competitive paddock, the Cremona opener is poised to deliver a compelling start to the 2026 Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy season.
