The 2026 Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy heads to its second round at the Prokart Raceland Wackersdorf, with over 200 drivers entered and another highly competitive weekend in prospect.
Once again, Senior MAX stands out as the leading category of the championship, with a grid exceeding 90 drivers, confirming its status as the benchmark class of the RMC Euro Trophy. Alongside it, all five Rotax categories - Mini MAX, Junior MAX, Senior MAX, DD2 and DD2 Masters - will be in action, bringing together an international field representing more than 30 nations.
Senior MAX - The championship picture remains wide open following the unusual Final in Cremona. At this stage, it is still effectively “zero to zero” among the main contenders. Nik Trobec (KSB Racing) leads the standings after capitalising on the changing weather conditions in Italy, ahead of Bran Vanderveken (Bouvin Power) and Tom Langlois (GKart53). With the margins still minimal, Wackersdorf could mark the first real shift in the title fight.
Junior MAX - Just four points separate the top four drivers, making this one of the tightest classifications in the field. It is currently a Dan Holland Racing top four lockout, with Zdenek Babicek leading on 153 points, followed closely by Emerson Macandrew-Uren on 151, Albert Friend on 150 and Rares Pascu on 149. With such narrow gaps, every heat and final result in Wackersdorf will be decisive.
DD2 / DD2 Masters - In DD2, Michael Rosina (MKC Motorsport) arrives in Germany as championship leader after converting his Cremona victory into points advantage. He is followed by reigning champion Jakub Bezel (Kraft Motorsport) and fellow Italian Leonardo Baccaglini (Schepers Racing).
In DD2 Masters, Nicolas Picot (Privateer) once again leads the standings, confirming his consistency at the front of the category.
Mini MAX - Attention also turns to the fight for the second Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals ticket of the season. In Cremona, it was Joshua Cooke (KR Sport) who secured the first spot after a close battle with teammate Logan Rolfe and Charlie Page (Privateer). Wackersdorf will now decide the next driver to earn a place at the 2026 Grand Finals.
With a packed entry list, a technically demanding circuit and championship standings still wide open, Round 2 of the Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy is set to deliver another crucial step in the 2026 season.
