Euro Series heads to Franciacorta with early momentum on the line

In a blink of an eye, the next round approaches, this time in the province of Brescia, famous for its world-renowned sparkling wine region and, in the karting world, the Franciacorta Karting Track.

A technical and undulating circuit with a sequence of 14 turns and a total length of 1300 metres, the track provides great overtaking opportunities, high speeds, and impressive views. This is especially true through its numerous and well-known opposing flows of traffic as drivers drop down the rollercoaster second sector. For round two of the IAME Euro Series, taking place from April 15 to 18, Franciacorta will provide a great spectacle for the (insert number) drivers set to appear across the X30 Mini, X30 Junior, and X30 Senior categories.

Without disregarding the hard work of previous series winners, we now turn our attention to the field, aiming to claim the next round of trophies.

New Leaders Emerge As The Fight Opens Wide

For Mini, the opportunity remains wide open since the previous winner, George House, is now part of the Junior field. It is currently Chester Forkes who is the driver to beat in the championship standings, ahead of his countrymen Ilyas Sami and Alfie Davidson. All three drivers competed in the IAME Euro Series in 2025 and have closely observed the likes of House. They now find themselves as the top three contenders, with Forkes establishing himself as number one after consistent performances in the opening round at Zuera. Sami actually took the final win, but Forkes’ consistency inside the top three has so far proven more valuable.

Early Form Sets The Tone In A Rapidly Evolving Field

For X30 Junior, it could be argued that home soil confidence played a role in Ivan Gonzalez securing victory at Zuera, helping him take the early lead in the standings ahead of Sukhmani Khera and 2025 IAME Warrior Final winner Max Endacott. Many drivers in the field made team changes over the winter, but some continuity appears to be paying off. Khera, now in her second year of X30 Junior racing, looks to be a strong contender after remaining with Fusion Motorsport. The same can be said for Nuvola Morales, whose continued partnership with Monlau Motorsport has placed him firmly in fourth position in the early standings.

The style of Italy’s Franciacorta completely contrasts with that of Spain’s Zuera, so it should be considered that some drivers may be better suited to the more undulating circuit. As we move into warmer months, the challenge of coping with the heat will also play a significant role in separating the frontrunners from the rest of the field.

Proven Winners And Rising Challengers Set For Another Showdown

X30 Senior is the only category this year to feature a returning title winner looking to defend his position. Aaron Garcia is that driver, and after securing a clean sweep at the 2026 IAME Winter Cup as well as victory at the 2025 IAME Warrior Final, he arrived at Zuera as a clear favourite. Despite this, it was Danny Carenini who claimed the final win with an impressive margin of 6.6 seconds. Carenini will be aiming to repeat that success in Italy, not only for the win itself but also to achieve it on home soil.

Dan Allemann currently leads the standings, one of the youngest drivers in the Senior category, but a strong contender nonetheless. Ruben Moya sits in second place, nine points behind Allemann, and will be looking to close that gap as he continues to establish himself as a key protagonist in the IAME Euro Series, as he has done in previous years.

Momentum is building as the IAME Euro Series heads into Round 2, and all eyes now turn to Franciacorta for another decisive chapter in the season.
