After a tough fight in the final, Lukas Pelizzari has secured his first Junior podium. The thirteen-year-old karter from Troisvierges in Luxembourg came home third on Saturday in the IAME X30 Junior class of the GK4 Kart Series. The race weekend was only the second round of his very first season at Junior level.

The German Kart Championship (DKM) kicks off its 2026 season this coming weekend at Arena E in Mülsen. The 2026 Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy heads to its second round at the Prokart Raceland Wackersdorf, with over 200 drivers entered and another highly competitive weekend in prospect.

Formule 20.000 is set to kick off its 2026 season on 9 and 10 May at the Soucy circuit, located 125 km southeast of Paris. The 100cc air-cooled karts from the 1990s to 2002 will then compete on two international circuits, at Saint-Amand-Montrond and then Laval, before heading to Loudun, a stone’s throw from the beautiful châteaux of the Loire Valley.

Elite Motorsport’s Fred Green and Douglas Motorsport’s Dayton Coulthard were the winners as the GB4 Championship’s season-opening weekend at Silverstone came to a conclusion.

Reno Francot rounded off the opening Red Bull Ring round of the FIA Formula Regional European Championship by taking victory in a dramatic Race 3, which saw the safety car deployed four times. The Dutch driver for CL Motorsport, who had already secured a podium in Saturday’s second race, also moved to the top of the Drivers’ standings, capitalising on the retirement of the polesitter and Race 1 winner Kean Nakamura-Berta (Prema Racing). Gabriel Gomez finished seventh for Rodin Motorsport, securing victory in the Rookie class.

Elite Motorsport’s Fred Green enjoyed the ideal debut to his single-seater career, taking a double pole position in qualifying, which he converted to victory in the first race of the new GB4 season at Silverstone. 

Kean Nakamura-Berta claimed victory in the opening race of the FIA Formula Regional European Championship season at the Red Bull Ring. The Prema Racing driver converted Friday’s pole position into a commanding win. Finishing second was Rashid Al Dhaheri (R-ace GP), while MP Motorsport’s Sebastian Wheldon took third place. Marcus Saeter (G4 Racing) topped the Rookie class.

VRD Racing's Nikita Bedrin made an ideal start to life in GB3, taking a commanding double pole in the two-part qualifying session this morning, and a fightback victory in race one.

Kean Nakamura-Berta has become the first-ever pole-sitter in the history of the FIA Formula Regional European Championship. The Prema Racing driver was the overall fastest across the two groups that took to the track at the Red Bull Ring in the opening qualifying session of the season, when he clocked 1:25.765. Alongside him on the front row for the first of the weekend’s three races will be Rashid Al Dhaheri (R-ace GP), who set the pace in the second group with a 1:25.951.

The karting season has reached the point where the MINI Team and the CRG Racing Team split their programmes for the Senior categories (OKJ, OK and KZ). After sharing the paddock and competing together in all the early-season WSK events, the MINI Team will now focus on the Italian ACI Karting Championship, which features a five-round calendar.
