DKM travels to Ampfing at the halfway point

Third race of the season crowns halfway champion. Over 180 drivers ensure full fields. Ampfing is the southernmost stop on the racing calendar.

After two exciting events in Mariembourg (Belgium) and Mülsen, the German Kart Championship is heading towards the halfway point of the 2025 season. From 25 to 27 July, Germany's most important kart racing series will be hosted at the traditional Schweppermannring in Ampfing. More than 180 drivers are expected to compete in the six classes and battle for the mid-season titles. Both race days can be viewed via livestream at adac.de/motorsport and on the ADAC Motorsport YouTube channel.

The 1,063-metre-long circuit in Upper Bavaria is one of the oldest tracks on the DKM racing calendar, but offers plenty of space for thrilling duels. There are several good overtaking opportunities, plus a narrow infield and a fast chicane, which can decide between victory and defeat.

Dion van Werven (CPB Sport) is at the top of the DKM standings. The Dutchman has not won a race this season, but has scored the most points so far. He is closely followed by this year's final winners Danilo Albanese (Dörr Motorsport) and Markus Kajak (Formula K SRP Factory Team). In the second international category, Marc Alexander Reistrup (CRG Holland) arrives as the leader of the German Junior Kart Championship. Just two points behind him is the reigning Mini Champion Milan Rossi (DAP Lanari Racing Team) in second place overall.

The most competitive field once again awaits in the DMSB Shifter Kart Cup (DSKC). Jayden Thien took the overall lead with a victory in the last race in Mülsen. However, with Matej Preuss (Formula K SRP Factory Team) and Jeffrey Fikse, he has two strong competitors hot on his heels. Devin Titz (CRG Holland) brings impressive momentum to the German Mini Kart Championship (DMKM). The CRG driver celebrated two consecutive final victories and travels to the third race with a comfortable lead.

The programme is rounded off by the IAME Series Germany. Ben Götz (Ebert Motorsport) leads the X30 Juniors, while Lars Ramaer (Haupt Racing Team) defends his lead in the X30 Senior class, just ahead of Mülsen winner Aaron Garcia Lopez (CV Performance X JP Motorsport).

Ampfing marks the transition to the decisive phase of the season. After the race in Upper Bavaria, there are only two races left, so the drivers are not only fighting for daily victories, but also for an ideal starting position for the title fight. Things get serious for the first time with qualifying and heats on Saturday. The Super Heats and final races in all classes will then take place on Sunday.
