Originally, the FIA ​​Karting Academy Trophy included an educational part that was evaluated on interactive kiosks before each Competition.  In 2019, youth training made a comeback through an effective collaboration with Formula Medicine. Formula Medicine is a Driver training organisation created more than 30 years ago by Dr. Riccardo Ceccarelli. It is characterised by extraordinary experience and a scientific approach based on solid medical bases and constant evolution. Its area of ​​expertise ranges from karting to Formula 1, having worked with more than 1,500 drivers, around 200 each year.

Next to the legendary 24 Hours Circuit and not far from the Bugatti Circuit, the Le Mans Karting International Circuit is bathed in a unique sporting atmosphere. The 1384 metres of the new circuit opened in 2013 recall the many World Karting Championships that took place on the old Alain Prost circuit in the 1970s to the 1990s. In this temple of motorsport, the Automobile Club de l'Ouest has built state-of-the-art facilities surrounding a fast track, conducive to slipstreaming and tight clashes up until the last lap.

The French Kart Grand Prix started in hot sunshine on Friday, 19th July on the circuit of Le Mans. Once the final Free Practice was over, the 146 participants of the fourth and final FIA Karting European Championship - OK & Junior Competition went out for their Qualifying Practice. Martinius Kleve Stenshorne (NOR) and Kobe Pauwels (BEL) were the Polemen of the day for the first time.

The 2019 FIA ​​Karting European Championship - OK & Junior started and will be completed in France, as the fourth and final Competition will be held at the Le Mans circuit on 19th to 21st July. The first three Competitions revealed different hierarchies according to the terrain and the conquest of both titles remains uncertain among a handful of strong contenders.

The young Luxembourg "lion" Maxime Furon-Castelain has confirmed his steady progress at the forefront of the Academy Trophy despite a technical problem. There was a change of scenery for the second round of the FIA ​​Karting Academy Trophy: after the winding circuit and cool weather of Wackersdorf (DEU), the young talents of the karting world found themselves, in a heat wave, at the Sarno (ITA) track near Naples in mid June.

After the extraordinary Finals, two FIA Karting European Champions were crowned in Sarno after confounding most of the predictions: Jorrit Pex (NLD) won for the third time in KZ and Emil Skaras (SWE) for the first time in KZ2, while  the Finals were won respectively by Lorenzo Camplese (ITA) and Emilien Denner (FRA). In the second of the three Competitions of the FIA ​​Karting Academy Trophy, Oleksandr Partyshev (UKR) took his first victory.

The fight was as intense in the FIA ​​Karting European Championship - KZ & KZ2 as it was in the FIA ​​Karting Academy Trophy this Saturday, 15th June, dedicated to the Qualifying Heats on the circuit of Sarno. The challenge is the same for everyone, to qualify in the best possible place among the 34 finalists.  As the day before, the heat affected the protagonists both physically and mechanically.

This year the Sarno (ITA) Competition will be marked by extreme heat at more than 35° in the air and 50° on the track. In these conditions which are difficult for everyone, the decisive meeting of the FIA ​​Karting European Championship - KZ & KZ2 has started, as well as the second of the three Competitions of the FIA ​​Karting Academy Trophy. Camplese, Palomba and Ho were the Polemen of these three categories.

After his promising debut in the European Junior Championship at Angerville, Maxime Furon-Castelain suffered in the difficult conditions of the Genk meeting before achieving a remarkable performance at the third European event at Kristianstad. The young Luxembourger's quick reactions worked wonders at the Swedish Grand Prix Kart, where he was able to match the best.

In mild, rain-free weather, Sunday offered a high-quality sporting event in Wackersdorf where the three winners of this superb FIA Karting Competition were unquestionably the best. Congratulations to Robert De Haan in Academy, Emil Skaras in KZ2 and Anthony Abbasse in KZ, not to mention their brave opponents. The 2019 German Karting Grand Prix will also remain a milestone event of the season with its remarkably good organisation.

After a sunny Thursday, light but persistent rain wetted the track at Wackersdorf until the early morning of Friday, 3rd May, 2019. The sun however managed to dry the Bavarian asphalt before the lunch break and the conditions were ideal for Qualifying Practice.

Wackersdorf returns to the FIA ​​Karting calendar this year after hosting the 2017 World Championship. This time it is to launch the FIA ​​Karting European Championship - KZ and KZ2, as well as the 10th edition of the FIA ​​Karting Academy Trophy from 3rd to 5th May 2019 for the second Competition of the season.

The 2018 FIA ​​Karting Champions were celebrated on Saturday, 1st December, 2018 in the halls of the Hotel President Wilson in Geneva (CHE) during an awards ceremony organised by the CIK-FIA in the presence of Jean Todt, FIA President, Peter Bayer, FIA Secretary General for ​​Sport, Felipe Massa, CIK-FIA President, outgoing Vice-President Kees van de Grint, Promoter James Geidel and many guests.

Patrik Hajek (CZE) became FIA ​​Karting World Champion - KZ in Genk (BEL) this weekend. Kobe Pauwels (BEL) won the FIA ​​Karting Academy Trophy Final where the Trophy was won by Jose Maria Navalon Boya (ESP) and Matteo Vigano (ITA) triumphed in the FIA ​​Karting International Super Cup - KZ2. The Genk Competition will be remembered as a remarkable event thanks to the show, the quality of the organisation and the large audience.

The first FIA Karting World Competition of the year promises to be particularly bright in Belgium at Genk, the Home of Champions. At the top of the bill, the FIA ​​Karting World Championship - KZ shares the programme with three other important events, while the Limburg Karting team and the Lemmens family have devoted all their energy to the organisation of this prestigious Competition. More than 180 Drivers from nearly 45 nations from five continents have entered this event.
