ACI-ROK JUNIOR AND SENIOR ITALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP

Two weeks are missing before the start of the ACI-Rok Italian Championship, which will take place on the International circuit of Siena (March 27th, 28th and 29th).

The ACI-Rok Italian Championship will be open to two categories, Rok Junior and Rok Senior, both protagonists of five events on tracks we may define as formidable (Siena, Lonato, Sarno, Ugento and Adria) and among the most beautiful ones in Italy.

Rok Junior. 11 years old to enter the Italian Championship.
The minimum age to enter the cadet class is set (for all one-make championships) to 11 years and the maximum age is under 16. Therefore, the licenses allowing drivers to run in the Junior Rok are:
Nat. D, Nat. C Junior, Int. C Junior, C-restricted, National C Senior, Int. C senior.

Senior Rok. Same regulations for both areas and Italian Championship.
Also for Senior Rok, the sporting and technical regulations adopted for the ACI-Rok Italian Championship are totally the same as those approved and published on the website, so it is also valid for the area competitions and the spot events.
The only differences concern the format of the event (as for the Rok Junior category) and the equipment that will be used for the entire weekend.

Race format.
The main difference featuring the ACI-Rok Italian Championship as for the area races, lies in the format of the event, which includes heats and two finals valid for the score allocation.
The event will take place with the following activity:
• Qualifying heats. 8 minutes
• 2 Eliminatory heats of 15 km each (for both Junior and Senior category) or the running of matches if the entries exceed the track capacity.
• Ranking on the base of the sum of penalties

  • Final round:
  • Race 1 - 20 km
  • Race 2 - 16 km

The grid of the first eight positions of race-2 will be drawn up on the basis of the arrival order of race-1, by applying the reverse order (the 8th classified driver of race-1 will start in the pole position, the 7th classified in the second position and so on).
The free practice will begin the THURSDAY before the event and will NOT be allowed to perform test sessions from Monday to Wednesday prior to the race. Instead, it will be possible to test the week before the race, until Sunday.

How to register.
The registration can be performed by filling in two forms. The first one must be sent to the ACI Sport and it is the one for the registration to the Italian Championship. This entry fee is of 300 Euro (+ VAT) and must be sent to ACI SPORT by April 21st, 2018. (http://www.acisport.it/public/2018/pdf/CIK/2018_2391Mixed//Iscrizione_al_campionato_scheda_di_iscrizione_al_campionato_2018.pdf)

The second form (duly completed) allows the registration to the race and must be sent to the track where the race is held. This form includes the payment of the fee of *200 Euro (+ VAT) and must be sent to the organizer by the Friday before the race.
You can download the form from the website of each track hosting the events. For the first round in Siena: (http://www.acisport.it/public/2018/pdf/CIK/2018_2391Mixed//Iscrizione_al_campionato_scheda_di_iscrizione_al_campionato_2018.pdf)

* The entry fee includes the fees for free practice on Friday.

Foreign participation to the races.

Note. For the score and prize allocation reserved for foreign drivers, see art. 3 of the sporting and technical regulation of the Italian CSAI championship.
"Drivers holding a foreign license who take part in competitions of the 60 Mini, X30 Junior, X30 Senior, Junior Rok, Senior Rok, Junior Rotax, Senior Rotax, 100 Easy Kart, 125 Masters and KZ3 (Junior - Under - Over) categories (national competitions where the foreing participation has been authorized) can have access only to the single races andtherefore be rewarded for the single races only, i.e. they cannot collect scores valid for the final ranking of the Italian Championship, in compliance with art. 2.3.6.a of the International Sporting Code, without prejudice to the provisions for competitive drivers as specified in the CSI 2018 art. 2.3.9 "
