Kart Republic one-two in OK and OK-Junior at Valencia!

After many races in Italy since the start of the season, the teams relying on the KR brand set their sights on Spain and the Lucas Guerrero circuit in Chiva for the second round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series. On this track, which has already brought so much success to the Italian manufacturer Kart Republic in the past, a sensational overall result rewarded the outstanding level of performance of the KR-IAME karts: a one-two in OK with Noah Baglin and Niklas Schaufler, and another in OK-Junior with Will Green and Priam Bruno. This result also bodes extremely well for the rest of the FIA Karting European Championship.

OK: Three KR-IAME karts in the top five and five in the top ten

Once again, the competition proved fierce in Valencia, but the Spanish round had been perfectly prepared in advance, meaning the karts proved to be incredibly effective. Right from the start of the competition, many KR-IAME karts immediately positioned themselves at the top of the standings. Whilst Noah Baglin (KR Motorsport), Zak Drummond (Fusion Motorsport) and Niklas Schaufler (DPK Racing) won Qualifying Heats, James Anagnostiadis (KR Motorsport) fought his way back up the field and Aaron Garcia Lopez (DPK Racing), a graduate of the IAME Cup, impressed at the front of the pack. The Spaniard also won his Super Heat with the fastest lap of the race.

In the Final, Baglin pulled out all the stops and cruised to victory with a comfortable lead. Starting 6th, Schaufler finished 2nd with the fastest lap of the race. Garcia Lopez secured 5th place. There were five KR-IAME karts in the top 10 thanks to Anagnostiadis, currently 2nd in the overall standings, and Drummond.

OK-Junior: Kart Republic dominates from pole position to the Final

Priam Bruno (VictoryLane) was the fastest in Qualifying, before winning three heats. Alessandro Truchot (KR Motorsport) won two, whilst Niccolo Perico (KR Motorsport) and Many Nuvolini (KR Motorsport) each won one. The latter confirmed his form by finishing 1st in Super Heat A. Having already staged brilliant comebacks in the Qualifying Heats, Will Green (KR Motorsport) emerged victorious in Super Heat B despite starting from 10th position. He repeated his fastest lap of the race in the Final, where his efforts were rewarded with a victory: his second in a row following his win at the European Championship.

The KR-IAME one-two was secured by Bruno. Aged just 11, Perico put in a very solid performance to finish in 4th place. In total, there were seven KR-IAME karts in the top 13, including Mason Robertson (KR Motorsport), Many Nuvolini, Antoine Sylva Venant (VDK Racing) and Alessandro Truchot. Priam moved into the lead in the series standings after Valencia.

Comment from Glenn Keyaert, KR Global Motorsport Company

“The Champions of the Future Euro Series is a key competition of the season and we are obviously delighted with the two one-two finishes achieved in both OK and OK-Junior. Our equipment was very competitive in dry conditions, but also during the wet spells, which our teams and drivers handled perfectly. Indeed, the wet tyres were in use in a few heats on Friday and during the Super Heats pon Saturday morning. KR Motorsport won in Valencia, which is obviously a positive result just a few days ahead of the European Championship. It’s also worth noting that our various satellite teams did a very good job and achieved excellent results. This demonstrates the relentless efforts made by KR and IAME to provide all drivers with equipment of the same standard.”
