The karting season has reached the point where the MINI Team and the CRG Racing Team split their programmes for the Senior categories (OKJ, OK and KZ). All categories will be in action, ranging from the youth classes MINI Under 10, MINI Gr.3, OK-N Junior, and OK-Junior to the high-performance OK-N, OK, and KZ2.

At the end of the heats, the best classified are Van Walstijn (KZ2), Babicek (OKJ), Arias (OK), Burgess (MINI U10), El Gahoudi (MINI Gr.3), Schniegenberg (OK-NJ), and Scognamiglio (OK-N). The final stages will be on Saturday from 9:30 with Live Streaming coverage.

The pole positions in Lonato were secured by Orlov (KZ2), Babicek (OKJ), Arias (OK), Burgess (MINI U10), Mair (MINI Gr.3), Schniegenberg (OK-NJ), Scognamiglio (OK-N). The heats will follow.

At the start of the season, Kart Republic’s aim in the OK and OK-Junior categories was to achieve maximum competitiveness at the opening round of the FIA Karting European Championship. The 2026 FIA Karting season officially got underway today as karts hit the track for the first time and drivers got to grips with the La Conca circuit in southern Italy. Following free practice sessions earlier this morning, drivers had their first opportunity to get a nose ahead in the Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship standings as Qualifying Practice began.

This weekend, from Thursday, April 9 to Sunday, April 12, the Muro Leccese circuit will host the opening round of the four-event FIA European Championship for the OK and OKJ categories. The FIA racing season officially gets underway, featuring the most prestigious meetings of the year—events that have launched the careers of today’s Formula 1 stars, from Max Verstappen (2013 champion) to Lewis Hamilton (2000 winner).

On Sunday, April 12th, the circuit of Muro Leccese, Italy, will host Round 1 of the FIA European Championship for the OK and OKJ categories. For the CRG Racing Team, this marks the green light for their international campaign under FIA governance, featuring a four-round European Championship and culminating in a one-off World Championship event in November.

Following a promising debut season, Sofia Zanfari begins her second year in the French F4 Championship with fresh ambitions. No fewer than 32 drivers competed in the single-seaters at the traditional Easter Cup races on the Gascon circuit as part of the French Circuit Championship. Seven female drivers, each more competitive than the last, went head-to-head in F4.
