The 2026 ProKart Challenge championship hosted its sixth and final round of the season at the K1 Circuit over the October 3-4 weekend. It was the second visit to the Winchester, California facility of the year, opening the 2026 championship and ending the chase at the same location with a different layout each time. The nearly 150-entry paddock was greeted with perfect racing weather over the two days of action to decide this year’s final winners and championship drivers.
Matthew Cagle won for a second time in KA100 Senior on the season
Matthew Cagle was able to secure a second victory on the season in KA100 Senior presented by Hayner Racing Team, which featured 36 drivers on the weekend. Cagle was third in qualifying behind two-time winner Jake Drew and Archer Eversman, who were separated by only 94 thousandths for fast time. Cagle got the jump on both in the Prefinal, leading 10 laps ahead of Drew and Eversman. In the Final, Cagle used the pole position advantage to lead all 20 laps, going on to secure a second victory in 2026. Keagan Kaminski drove up to the second spot, pushing Drew back to third. Kameron Perry recorded fast lap of the race while placing fourth, beating out Eversman.
Jesus Vasquez Jr. won for a second time on the season in Pro Shifter
Also recording a second victory of the season was Jesus Vasquez Jr. in Pro Shifter presented by Axis Kartsport. Vasquez was third in the qualifying session, missing out on the top spot by just under two tenths as British driver Noah Wolfe secured the fast time of 46.666, with Keawn Tandon in second breaking a tie with Vasquez as they posted the same lap time. Wolfe led the first seven laps before retiring, handing the lead over to Vasquez, who went on to take the win. Vasquez recorded a holeshot victory, jumping out to the lead and showing the way for the 20 laps of the Final, winning by over two seconds. Tandon was second, holding off two-time winner Billy Musgrave. Wolfe improved up to fourth, with Round Five winner Jacob Gulick in fifth.
Forrest Blair added his name to the winner list in KA100 Junior
In only his third KA100 Junior presented by Nash Motorsportz start of the season, Forrest Blair recorded the main event victory. He found himself back in ninth after qualifying, which was led by Round Four winner Daniel Ramirez with a time of 51.593. Ramirez led the first four laps of the Prefinal until he was shuffled back by Round Three winner Mateo Calderon and Diesel Biezonsky. Eventually, Blair was up to second and took the lead, and the win on the final circuit over Biezonsky. The 20-lap Final was a battle over the first half of the race with Blair, Calderon and Biezonsky all leading at one point. By lap 10, Blair secured the lead and was able to show the way to the checkered flag for the victory, winning by over one second. Calderon won the battle for second over Round Five winner Braydon Wagner, with Biezonsky and Hank Blair rounding out the top five.
Last lap move secured the victory in Mini Swift for Maddax Carlucci
Mini Swift presented by Formula Works/GFC welcomed its sixth different winner on the season at the series finale. Round Two winner Matthew Paciulli set the bar in qualifying, clearing the nine-driver field by over two tenths. Paciulli held off a late challenge from Lachlan Postle to win the Prefinal. Postle led the way over the first six laps before Paciulli challenged for the lead. That lasted until lap nine when Paciulli retired from the race. Postle continued to show the way up to the final lap when Maddax Carlucci took the lead and his first victory of the season. Postle settled for second, with Benjamin Tavi on the podium in third. Round One winner Kendall West was fourth, with Round Five winner Chase Riddering in fifth.
Ayrton Hayes became a first-time winner in Micro Swift
Ayrton Hayes secured his first series victory in Micro Swift presented by Parazinho Chassis Jig at the series finale. Making his series debut, Hayes was third in qualifying behind top qualifier Michael Dean and Ezra Medina. Hayes moved up to second in the Prefinal as Dean took the win leading all nine laps with Medina back to third. Dean led the first nine laps of the Final before Medina took over the position. Three-time winner Carson Bishop joined the fight at the front until lap 13 when contact took all three out of contention. This promoted Hayes to the top spot, as he led the final five laps to secure his first victory. Lucas Freitas Melo was second, with Sebastian Matyjaszczyk completing the podium in third. Spencer Antle and Sebastian Angel rounded out the top five.
Theo Kekati added another win on the season in FZ125 Senior
Theo Kekati was able to record his fourth victory of the season in FZ125 Senior division presented by P1 Engines Inc. His time of 49.311 edged out Mason Mitchell by only five thousandths. Mitchell grabbed the holeshot to begin the Prefinal, leading the first two laps before Kekati took over and went on to win. Kekati took the lead at the start of the Final but was challenged early by Xander Malatesta. Taking the lead on lap four, Malatesta could only hold it for one lap as Kekati retook the position. From there, Kekati led the rest of the distance to record a third sweep of the season. Malatesta was second, with Mathias Coito in third ahead of Mitchell with Matthew McCoy in fifth.
A fourth victory on the season for Jude Sack in FZ85 Junior
Jude Sack finished the season with a fourth victory in FZ85 Junior category presented by West Coast Motorsports. A time of 51.011 led the way in qualifying, with Mati Dragan and Diesel Biezonsky both within 90 thousandths of that time. A poor opening lap dropped Sack back to fourth as Dragan took the lead early. Maddie Grace secured the lead for three laps before Biezonsky took over on lap five, leading the rest of the distance ahead of Grace, Dragan and Sack. The battle at the front became five-way with Dante Rodrigues into the mix. Biezonsky led early before Grace assumed the point until Rodrigues moved into the lead on lap 10. He led for three laps before Sack took over as the leader. He led the final eight laps to record the victory by just two tenths over Dragan. Grace secured the final step on the podium with Rodrigues in fourth and Biezonsky fifth.
Asher Biezonsky was able to record another victory in FZ65 Mini
FZ65 Mini Shifter presented by Empire Karts was a battle of former winners. Tyler Wade struck first with a fast time in qualifying with a lap of 52.273 to lead Kyle Wade and three-time winner Asher Biezonsky. Wade was able to hold off Biezonsky by only 57 thousandths at the line to finish the Prefinal in a photo finish. The Final was nearly as close, this time with Biezonsky on the winning end, beating out Kyle Wade to the line by just under two tenths to record that fourth win of the season. Tyler Wade was a close third in a three-driver battle for the victory.
Baily Murphy recorded a third victory of the season in KA100 Master
Baily Murphy was able to start the KA100 Master presented by Precision Karting season with a victory and end it at the top of the podium. The winner of the opening two rounds at K1 started off the finale with fast time in qualifying and led the first four laps of the Final. Fellow two-time winner Ryan Casner led for one circuit before Round Five winner Chris Giumarra went to the top spot.
Giumarra drove to the race win and pole position for the Final. Giumarra and Casner led the first five laps of the main event until Murphy took control. Murphy led the final 14 laps to earn a third victory in 2026, winning by 1.8 seconds over Casner. Jeffery Bays ended up third over Airel Abba, with Joshua Daley in fifth.
A sweep in Master Shifter by Vyacheslav Prikhodko
The final round of Master Shifter presented by Leading Edge Motorsports was swept by Vyacheslav Prikhodko. The Round Two winner set fast time in qualifying and won the Prefinal. Myan Spaccarelli grabbed the lead for the first five laps until Prikhodko took back the position. He led the final 15 circuits to claim a second victory of the season. Three-time winner Kevin Woods was second, with Spaccarelli on the podium in third. A fifth victory on the year was added by James Skyers in FZ125 Master presented by Precision Works Racing. After setting fast time in qualifying, Round Five winner Larry Hernandez Jr. beat out Skyers for the Prefinal win. Skyers, however, went on to lead all 20 laps in the Final for the victory. Hernandez was second, with Ken Simonelic in third.
