The 2026 Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy concluded today at the Steel Ring in Trinec, under sunshine after a dramatic weekend, with the Super Heats and Finals deciding every title and Grand Finals ticket of the season.
Jakub Bezel (Kraft Motorsport) won a Final decided by thousandths of a second, becoming a back to back DD2 champion and securing his ticket to Portimao. A bumper penalty cost Patryk Donica (Birelart by KSB) second place on the road, dropping him to third and promoting Leonardo Baccaglini (Schepers Racing) to second. Baccaglini also takes a Grand Finals ticket.
Nicolas Picot (Sodikart) and Dimo Notarfrancesco (Karttem Meier) finished one two in the DD2 Masters Final, exactly as they stood in the championship. Picot takes the Grand Finals ticket.
E20 Senior produced one of the closest races of the weekend. Lucas dos Santos Pinheiro crossed the line first but picked up a bumper penalty, handing the win to Adam Szabo. Kristian Beke and Adam Kugacz completed the podium behind him. Szabo will represent Hungary at the 2026 Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals in Portimao. Argentina's Gaston Di Bella got the better of Roman Jager in E20 Masters, reversing the form Jager had shown all morning.
Austin Oman (Sam Pollitt Racing) won the battle at the front of Mini MAX, beating fellow Brits and KR Sport teammates Logan Rolfe and Joshua Cooke. Rolfe picked up the fourth and final ticket of the season. With Sodikart’s Cees Muijs 4th.
Zdenek Babicek (TEPZ Racing) won on home soil, leading a Junior MAX Final he never let slip away. Emerson Macandrew-Uren (Dan Holland Racing) and Martyn Soltys (KRK Racing) joined him on the podium. The new RMCET Junior MAX Champion Babicek, Soltys and Sebastian Clark (KR Sport) take the tickets to Portimao.
Senior MAX delivered a Final that will go down in RMCET history. Cian Geraghty gave Paul Spencer's Strawberry Racing the win, with Freddie Lloyd (Evolution Racing) and Mehdi Lassoued (Sodikart) completing the podium.
The championship battle went down to the wire, with an investigation into the points leader threatening to reshuffle the final standings. The investigation did not go ahead and Jeremy Reuvers (Karting Club Campillos) was crowned champion ahead of Lewis Gilbert (Kraft Motorsport) and Freddie Lloyd (Evolution Racing). All three take their tickets to the Grand Finals.
On the podium, Bezel and Reuvers also received a prize from the partnership between the Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy and Porsche Carrera Cup Italia. They will have the opportunity to test the Porsche 992 Cup of Omnia Motorsport in a performance test in Italy.
A sunny final day brought the curtain down on a magnificent 2026 season for the Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy, four rounds that delivered champions in every category and a full grid of drivers bound for Portimao.
