Munich. The Road to DTM youth development program will be realigned within the German Kart Championship (DKM) for the 2026 season. Going forward, the program will be fully anchored in the OK-N category. As a result, the champion of this class will receive the entry fee for the BMW M2 Cup or ADAC GT4 Germany in the following season, providing a clear opportunity to take the next step toward professional motorsport.

The season opener will take place from May 1 to 3 in Saxony: the new season kicks off at Arena E in Mülsen – as tradition dictates, the DKM will conclude at ProKart Raceland in Wackersdorf. The decisive races of the 2026 season will be held there from September 25 to 27. A new class structure will also be introduced: alongside the Mini and Shifter Kart (KZ2) categories, the OK-N Junior and OK-N classes will be added for the first time.

The final winners in Kerpen were Markus Kajak (DKM), Marc Alexander Reistrup (DJKM), Jeffrey Fikse (DSKC), Devin Titz (DMKM), Maxim Becker (X30 Junior) and Lars Ramaer (X30 Senior).

The fourteen-year-old driver from Hennuyères, Belgium, secured second place in the third round of the GK4 Kart Series IAME X30 Junior class. This strengthened his championship lead despite a dramatically interrupted final.

The German Kart Championship will use Aspen+ fuel in the coming season. Specialised fuel for small engines. Fuel has already been introduced successfully in karting in the USA and Sweden.
