In front of packed grandstands and under consistently dry late-summer weather, the six classes delivered thrilling karting action — including the first championship decision in the Minis. The final winners in Kerpen were Markus Kajak (DKM), Marc Alexander Reistrup (DJKM), Jeffrey Fikse (DSKC), Devin Titz (DMKM), Maxim Becker (X30 Junior) and Lars Ramaer (X30 Senior).

Moritz Mohr proved on Saturday evening during the third round of the GK4 Kart Series that he can reach the podium in his debut season in the IAME X30 Senior National class. KERPEN - Racing on an unfamiliar circuit, Flavio Caira proved on Saturday that talent always shines through. The fourteen-year-old driver from Hennuyères, Belgium, secured second place in the third round of the GK4 Kart Series IAME X30 Junior class. This strengthened his championship lead despite a dramatically interrupted final.

The German Kart Championship will use Aspen+ fuel in the coming season. Specialised fuel for small engines. Fuel has already been introduced successfully in karting in the USA and Sweden.

At the weekend, 181 drivers travelled to Kerpen for the start of the second half of the DKM season. Mülsen, Ampfing and Wackersdorf were the first three stops of the German Kart Championship. Now the second half of the season started in Kerpen.

The finals produced new winners in three classes: Markus Kajak (DKM), Dion van Werven (DSKC) and Zdenek Babicek (DMKM) claimed their first win of the season. Moritz Groneck (DJKM), Lars Ramaer (X30 Junior) and Elia Weiss (X30 Senior), on the other hand, repeated their success from Ampfing.

The German Kart Championship (DKM) is under starter’s orders for the 2024 season. The registration period for the top German karting series begins in mid-January. As the future organizer of the Deutsche Kart Meisterschaft (DKM), the ADAC e.V. has presented the calendar for the 2024 season. Next year, the DKM calendar will grow to six events, which will be held from the season opener in April to the finale at the end of September.
