Registration for the new season of the German Kart Championship (DKM) is now open. Once again in the upcoming season, Germany’s premier national karting series will provide optimal conditions for young talents and ambitious drivers, featuring five championship classes. Online registration for the DKM title classes is now available via adac.de/motorsport.

Munich. The Road to DTM youth development program will be realigned within the German Kart Championship (DKM) for the 2026 season. Going forward, the program will be fully anchored in the OK-N category. As a result, the champion of this class will receive the entry fee for the BMW M2 Cup or ADAC GT4 Germany in the following season, providing a clear opportunity to take the next step toward professional motorsport.

The German Kart Championship (DKM) will include five race weekends in the upcoming year, combining traditional tracks in Germany with a special highlight abroad. For the first time ever, Germany’s premier kart racing series will make a stop in Cheb, Czech Republic. The season opener will take place from May 1 to 3 in Saxony: the new season kicks off at Arena E in Mülsen – as tradition dictates, the DKM will conclude at ProKart Raceland in Wackersdorf. The decisive races of the 2026 season will be held there from September 25 to 27. A new class structure will also be introduced: alongside the Mini and Shifter Kart (KZ2) categories, the OK-N Junior and OK-N classes will be added for the first time.

At the fourth of five race weekends, more than 200 drivers lined up on the 1,107-meter cult track. In front of packed grandstands and under consistently dry late-summer weather, the six classes delivered thrilling karting action — including the first championship decision in the Minis. The final winners in Kerpen were Markus Kajak (DKM), Marc Alexander Reistrup (DJKM), Jeffrey Fikse (DSKC), Devin Titz (DMKM), Maxim Becker (X30 Junior) and Lars Ramaer (X30 Senior).

Moritz Mohr proved on Saturday evening during the third round of the GK4 Kart Series that he can reach the podium in his debut season in the IAME X30 Senior National class. The thirteen-year-old German from Hofheim demonstrated on the historic Kerpen circuit that he can already hold his own against older drivers in the Senior class.

KERPEN - Racing on an unfamiliar circuit, Flavio Caira proved on Saturday that talent always shines through. The fourteen-year-old driver from Hennuyères, Belgium, secured second place in the third round of the GK4 Kart Series IAME X30 Junior class. This strengthened his championship lead despite a dramatically interrupted final.

The German Kart Championship will use Aspen+ fuel in the coming season. Specialised fuel for small engines. Fuel has already been introduced successfully in karting in the USA and Sweden.

At the weekend, 181 drivers travelled to Kerpen for the start of the second half of the DKM season. Mülsen, Ampfing and Wackersdorf were the first three stops of the German Kart Championship. Now the second half of the season started in Kerpen.
