All the ingredients were there: ideal weather conditions for the season in northern Italy, a magnificent field of 250 drivers, non-stop action on the track, a large audience around the track and watching the live stream, and superb organisation masterfully led by the Franciacorta Karting Track team. Three drivers enjoyed a great first. Dutchman Senna Van Walstijn won the Mondokart.com FIA Karting World Championship - KZ, Maksim Orlov dominated the FIA Karting World Cup - KZ2 and Angelo Lombardo held off Davide Fore in the FIA Karting International Super Cup - KZ2 Masters.

In terms of the top spot, Italy's Angelo Lombardo has taken over from his compatriot Davide Fore at the top of the FIA Karting International Super Cup - KZ2 Masters intermediate standings. On the other hand, Germany's David Trefilov managed to retain his lead in the Mondokart.com FIA Karting World Championship - KZ, as did Maksim Orlov in the FIA Karting World Cup - KZ2.

Three major titles will be awarded: the Mondokart.com KZ World Championship, the KZ2 World Cup and the KZ2 Masters International Super Cup. An exceptional field of 253 drivers, representing dozens of nationalities, is expected in northern Italy from 9th to 12th October 2025.

As in 2023, the FIA Karting prize-giving ceremony took place in Nice, France, on Saturday 7th December at the Hyatt Regency Palais de la Méditerranée. The karts of the three World Champions were displayed to the guests.

This weekend, the Kartódromo Internacional do Algarve witnessed the crowning of three FIA Champions following a fierce competition that saw a variety of track conditions.

Following their excellent results in the FIA Karting European Championship in the Shifter categories, Sodi chassis continued their haul of success on the Portimao circuit in southern Portugal. Anthony Abbasse, who dominated the KZ2 Masters, won the Champions of the Future Shifter 2024 title.

For four days, the Algarve International Karting Circuit in Portimao vibrated to the rhythm of the KZ, KZ2 and KZ Master karts at a meeting eagerly awaited by competitors. The drivers and teams were able to work in a variety of weather conditions, gathering a wealth of data and gaining a much better understanding of the Portimao track. Many of the drivers were taking part in a Champions of the Future event for the first time and appreciated the professionalism of the organisation put in place by RGMMC. On a warm and sunny day of southern Portugal, Frenchman Jérémy Iglesias won the KZ class, Romanian Daniel Vasile won the KZ2 class and Frenchman Anthony Abbasse dominated the KZ Master class.

In Italy, the final of the FIA European Karting Championships in the KZ, KZ2 and KZ2 Masters categories ended with a real plebiscite for Sodi chassis, the official team and the teams representing the French brand. Second in the KZ2 final ahead of team-mate Kasper Schormans, Matteo Spirgel is the new European KZ2 Champion. Senna Van Walstijn, who impressed throughout the weekend at the wheel of his Sodi-TM, finished runner-up in the European KZ Championship. A penalty cost Anthony Abbasse the title, runner-up in the European KZ2 Masters Championship. As for the teams, Sodikart leads the KZ Championship and 3rd in KZ2 Masters, while CPB Sport is leader in KZ2.
