The new season of the German Kart Championship gets underway this weekend at Arena E in Mülsen. Approaching 190 drivers are expected to line up in six classes. There is a particular focus on youth development, as the “Road to DTM” programme has been expanded to include the German Kart Championship (DKM).

The ADAC is strengthening youth development in the karting scene and expanding the successfully established “Road to DTM” programme to incorporate the top German karting series, the German Kart Championship (DKM), in the 2024 season.

As the future organizer of the Deutsche Kart Meisterschaft (DKM), the ADAC e.V. has presented the calendar for the 2024 season. Next year, the DKM calendar will grow to six events, which will be held from the season opener in April to the finale at the end of September.

The Erftlandring in Kerpen is the venue for the fourth event of the German Kart Championship this coming weekend and could prove to be groundbreaking in the title fight. The supporting programme will once again feature the youngsters of the Mini 60 Series by Chrono Karting. The title sponsor is GTC Race - the sports car series has been a partner of the DKM since the beginning of the year and supports the championship with a GT4 test drive.

Frankfurt am Main. A long winter break comes to an end next weekend for the German Kart Championship. In Muelsen, the three categories DJKM (OKJ), DSKM (KZ2) and DSKC (KZ2) will start into the new season. The German Kart Championship had a successful kick-off last weekend (May 7th - 9th 2021) on the Erftlandring in Kerpen. 114 drivers from 16 nations started there and drove thrilling races in changing weather. In the end, there were six joyful winners.
