After making its debut in Mariembourg, Belgium at the season opener, the German Kart Championship returns to familiar territory. The 1.315-metre Arena E in Mülsen will host the second race weekend from 30 May to 1 June. With over 200 drivers in six classes, the paddock will be full. The races on Saturday (from 12:15 CEST) and Sunday (from 9:30 CEST) will be livestreamed at adac.de/motorsport, as well as on the ADAC Motorsport YouTube channel.
The first clash in the German Kart Championship was on Easter weekend. For the second round, the top German karting series is taking it up a notch and is expecting 215 entrants in Mülsen. Danilo Albanese (KR Motorsport) of Italy leads the DKM standings after his victory at the season opener. With a win last year, the Italian showed his love for the track in Mülsen, which makes him one of the clear favourites. Youngster Erik Poulsen (Poulsen Motorsport) is another one: The Swede dominated the opener and is the driver to beat in the German Junior Kart Championship.

With 54 entries, once again all places in the DMSB Shift Kart Cup are filled: Jayden Thien (CRG Holland) of The Netherlands is the overall leader despite the victory in the final in Mariembourg going to his direct rival Matej Preuss (Formula K SRP Factory Team) of Czechia. Mini driver Devin Titz (CRG Holland) made his mark in the German Mini Kart Championship with a clear win at the season opener and now faces the challenge of repeating this performance in Mülsen.
The IAME Series Germany is also part of the supporting programme, with the two classes X30 Junior and X30 Senior. For the juniors, Tom Wickop (VM Energy Corse Germany) took the lead of the overall standings after a controlled race in the final. In the X30 Senior category, Lars Ramaer (Haupt Racing Team) won the final in Mariembourg on his senior debut and currently leads the championship.
The Arena E is one of the most modern tracks on the calendar and, with its flowing layout, offers ideal conditions for thrilling karting. The competitors kick things off with the free practice sessions on Friday. Then the qualifying session and the heats follow on Saturday, before the super heats and finals are held on Sunday. The top 36 drivers in each class will qualify for the final races.
