Two-time Australian Champion Harry Arnett has been selected as Australia’s representative in the 2022 FIA Karting Academy Trophy. The Victorian will be one of 51 drivers aged between 12 and 14 years of age from all over the world participating in the three-round Series in identical world-leading equipment supplied by the OTK Kart Group.

Here is the large selection of 25 drivers who will wear the Tony Kart colours in the main international competitions in the MINI, OKJ, OK and KZ/KZ2 classes.

Right after being informed by the owners of the Adria Circuit of its unavailability to host the WSK Champions Cup due to specific motivations connected to the circuit, WSK Promotion has been forced to modify its 2022 racing calendar.

The Adria Karting Raceway is about to host the 2022 season opener of WSK Champions Cup that will take place on January 20-23 and will be followed by the WSK Super Master Series the week after.

Even if the CRG team will take part in the XX Copa de Campeones in Zuera next December, the long competitive season of international meetings for the Mini, OK-Junior, OK and KZ classes has essentially ended with the WSK Final in Adria.

The last race of the season, the WSK Final Cup in Adria, was a great success for Parolin Motorsport. There was complete domination and victory for Celenta in KZ2 followed by Travisanutto in 4th position, a double podium for Orlov and Khavalkin in Junior, 2nd place for Costoya in Mini and 4th place for van Langendonck.

The WSK season has come to an end at the circuit of Adria with the KZ2 title going to Francesco Celenta, that of OK to Arvid Lindblad, OKJ’s to Lucas Fluxa and MINI’s to David Cosma-Cristofor. A total of 275 drivers gathered in Adria from 45 different nations, as WSK races counted a global participation of 2.900 drivers in 2021.

The event scheduled in Adria will be the last competitive match for the drivers of the Mini, Junior, OK and KZ2 classes, after a long season structured on over 20 meetings which include FIA, WSK and Trophy events.

The WSK Final Cup will be contested by an exceptional group of 280 drivers in the categories MINI, OKJ, OK and KZ2.

The prestigious Endurance Karting event promoted by CRG will be back in 2022 and will take place on 26th and 27th March, on the Italian racetrack in Adria. After the limitations due to Covid this year, the organizers were convinced to move this event to June, but the 5th edition of the karting marathon that CRG organizes with its Honda-powered Centurion Rental Karts will be back to its usual timing at the end of March.

WSK Promotion’s series will use VEGA (MINI, OKJ, KZ2) and LeCont (OK) tyres, PANTA fuel and Sparco clothing.   

The tenth edition of the WSK Final Cup will take place from November 19th to 21st at the end of season 2021. The entitled categories are MINI, OKJ, OK and KZ2.

Two of the WSK Euro Series appointments changed their date: the second round of Adria has been moved from May 8th to July 17th 2022, while the third round in La Conca has been postponed from July 24th to July 31st 2022.

The world event by IAME kicked off in fine style in Adria on Wednesday, October 20th, with qualifying practice that named the first protagonists of this great international event. Several battles decided by thousandths of a second gave the first taste of what is ahead before the grand finale on Saturday: great challenges and competition among 300 best drivers selected from the national series of 29 countries. Five categories will be on track: namely, X30 Mini, X30 Junior, X30 Senior, X30 Master and for the first time this year also the shifter Z-I.
