WSK Final: the last race of the year in Adria

The last racing weekend of the year for International Karting has already begun with the first free practice of the WSK Final. The event scheduled in Adria will be the last competitive match for the drivers of the Mini, Junior, OK and KZ2 classes, after a long season structured on over 20 meetings which include FIA, WSK and Trophy events.

The CRG Racing Team has chosen not to line-up any drivers in KZ, but will be racing in all the other 3 categories. In the Mini there will be 3 drivers who will defend the CRG colors with the Canadian Ilie Tristan Cristan alongside Emilio Bernd and Arjen Kräling. Russian Gerasim Skulanov will be there in OK Junior and his compatriot Ksenia Phoenix in OK.

As usual, the first official verdicts of the track will arrive on Friday when the qualifying practice and the first heats will take place. In view of the 2022 season, which will start very soon, already in February, the Adria event will be an anticipation from a technical point of view, with many teams bringing updates and running simulations in the race with new materials. From a sporting perspective, however, all the drivers want to end the season with a positive result and the weekend will undoubtedly be very entertaining.

We remind you that live timing will be available on the WSK website from Friday on to follow the event, while the races on Sunday (Pre-Finals and Finals) will also be broadcast with live streaming.

CRG drivers’ expectations:

Ilie Tristan Crisan (MINI): “This will be the last race of a season in which I have learned a lot and I hope to do well. I did my first race in Italy only in May and my performance has been constantly growing. I like this track a lot, so I am quite optimistic to be able to get a good result, even if with over 100 drivers who will take part in the competition, it will be really very difficult”.

Gerasim Skulanov (OKJ): “I had many ups and downs after changing from Mini to OK Junior, but on this track I have already raced two times with the Junior and I have always been competitive. My goal will be to be fast of course and above all to work for qualifying, where I have to improve a lot with new tires to take advantage of in just 3-4 laps. But at this point of the season I would also like to get a result in the Final and I will be very careful not to make mistakes due to being too impetuous in the qualifying phases".
