The Leopard Circuit Viterbo has named the first winners of the WSK Euro Series in the opening round, which kicked off the two-event edition of 2025. This weekend once again highlighted the major protagonists of international karting, with drivers coming from 50 nations and many of the most qualified teams.
In the first round at the Leopard Circuit Viterbo, which concluded with the final phase on Saturday, the winners of the Finals were Hedfors in MINI Gr.3, Godschalk in MINI U10, Xie in OK-NJ, Domain in OKJ, Scognamiglio in OK-N and Costoya in OK.
The champions will then be crowned in the second and decisive round which will be held on July 5th at the Cremona Circuit, in the round that will enrich the already prestigious Hall of Fame inaugurated by champions such as Max Verstappen, who won the KF3 youth category at his debut in WSK back in 2010.

The first round in Viterbo awarded the first championship points based on the results achieved in the preceding days, in the heats (11 points for the first and then decreasing), and in the final phase with the results obtained in the Prefinals (40 points for the first and decreasing) and in the Finals (60 points for the first and decreasing).

MINI GR.3 - Hedfors dominates the Final.
The Swede Elton Hedfors with the Parolin Motorsport team on Parolin-TM-Kart-Vega confirmed his excellent form in MINI Gr.3 by dominating the Final after winning the Prefinal and the heats. The remaining podium positions went to two other protagonists of the Viterbo weekend, as the Italian Niccolò Perico with the Team Driver on KR-Iame crossed the finish line in second position ahead of the other Italian Achille Rea, with Birelart Racing on Birelart-TM Kart, who had taken pole position and finished third right behind Perico. The other top positions went to the Frenchman Teo Pelfrene (Kidix/KR-Iame), who finished fourth, ahead of the Georgian Leon Chelidze (CRG Racing Team/T-Group-TM Kart).

MINI U10 - Godschalk puts in a great final.
The Caribbean driver Wynn Godschalk, racing with the Kidix team on KR-Iame-Vega, left his mark in the final phase of the MINI U10. He won the Prefinal ahead of Cypriot Andrea Papageorgiou (CRG Racing Team/T-Group-TM Kart) and the Final ahead of his teammate, the American Josh Bergman, winner of the recent WSK Super Master Series. Papageorgiou, who was among the contenders for victory after his success in the heats, was absent from the Final, having gone out of the race at the start due to an off-track excursion following a collision, and then finishing in the back. The American Colton Schniegenberg (Ward Racing/Tony Kart-TM Kart) made a good comeback, reaching the third step of the podium with an 8-position recovery. The Moroccan Nahyl El Gahoudi (BabyRace/Parolin-Iame) and his teammate, the Mexican Mateo Garcia Patino, also had a good weekend, finishing within the top 5.

OK-NJ – The Chinese driver Huifei Xie takes his maiden win.
An excellent final performance in OK-NJ came from China's Huifei Xie, who claimed his first victory in a WSK event with Team Driver on KR-Iame-Vega. Huifei Xie showcased his talent with pole position in qualifying, the top position in the heats, victory in the Prefinal and then in the Final, which he dominated from start to finish. Joining the very happy Chinese on the Final podium were the two drivers from Team Modena Kart, on Parolin-TM Kart: the Swiss driver Albert Tamm, who finished second close behind Xie, and the Italian Gioele Girardello, who finished third after a comeback. The Ukrainian Vsevolod Osadcyi-Suslovskyi (Monster K Factory Team/Monster K-TM Kart) came fourth ahead of the Canadian Rocco Simone (Kidix/KR-Modena Engines). The other Ukrainian, Oleksandr Legenkyi (Team Driver/KR-Iame), ended sixth after finishing the Prefinal in second place.

OKJ - Forza Racing takes a one-two-three.
Forza Racing Team achieved an incredible winning hat-trick in the OKJ Final with Henry Domain, William Calleja, and Gianmatteo Rousseau, continuing the English team's positive streak throughout all phases of the weekend. From Henry Domain's pole position, who also finished first in the heats and Prefinal-A, to the other protagonist Iskender Zulfikari, winner of Prefinal-B. In the final, the Englishman Domain on Exprit-TM Kart-Vega led from start to finish, with the podium completed by his two teammates, the Australian William Calleja and the Panamanian Gianmatteo Rousseau. The overall performance of the Fusion Motorsport team drivers was also excellent, with Jesse Phillips on KR-Iame finishing fourth ahead of Zulfikari. The Argentine Martin Bertolacci with the DPK team on KR-Iame also had a good sixth-place finish, while the Italian Valerio Viapiana closed his effort in seventh place with the Team Driver on KR-Iame. The Monegasque driver Andrea Manni (Forza Racing), Bruno Blanco (Parolin Motorsport), and Bosco Arias (Ricky Flynn Motorsport) rounded off the top ten.

OK-N - Undisputed dominance by Scognamiglio.
The OK-N was marked by the uncontested dominance of Manuel Scognamiglio with the Tellone Motorsport team on Tony Kart-Iame-Vega, with the Italian driver as the absolute protagonist from qualifying with pole position, three wins in the three heats, victory in the Prefinal and victory in the Final. The Polish driver Juliusz Ociepa (Novalux/Lenzokart-LKE), last year's Euro Series champion, proved to be the main contender, although he always had to settle for second position in all phases of the weekend. The Italian Nicolas Marchesi (Team Driver/KR-Iame) finished third in the Final and was always among the main protagonists. Good performances also came from the three Brazilian Croce brothers, with VictoryLane on KR-Iame: Lucca fourth, Allan sixth, Rafael 11th. The Swiss Georgy Zasov (MHRacing/KR-TM Kart) finished fifth instead.

OK - Costoya unstoppable in the international challenge.
A good number of teams enlivened the highest-performing category, OK, in an international challenge among the most representative teams. The Spaniard Christian Costoya with Parolin Motorsport on Parolin-TM Kart-LeCont was unstoppable in his performance: pole position in qualifying, three wins out of three in the heats, victory in the Prefinal, and victory in the Final with a good lead over the pursuers. The Italian Filippo Sala with the Forza Racing team on Exprit-TM Kart stood out, finishing the Final in second place, just as Turk Alp Aksoy with Fusion Motorsport took the third step of the podium. The Argentine Fausto Arnaudo with DPK Racing on KR-Iame also performed well, finishing fourth ahead of his teammate, the Englishman Zac Green. Another Englishman, Roman Kamyab with the Ricky Flynn Motorsport team on LN Kart-TM Kart, finished sixth after a comeback. The Swede Elliot Kaczynski with Ward Racing on Tony Kart-TM Kart, the Lithuanian Markas Silkunas with the Contribee team on KR-TM Kart, the Dutchman Jorn Helder with MP Kart Racing on Henza-Iame, and the Frenchman Thomas Pradier with the Moni team on Tony Kart-Vortex all finished in the top ten. The daughter of art, Ella Hakkinen with the Fusion Motorsport team, also put in a good performance.
