Second race weekend sees drivers and teams head to the Czech Republic. This is the third time in the history of the DKM that a round takes place abroad. More than 155 starters expected in five classes.
The second race weekend of the 2026 season in the German Kart Championship is breaking new ground, as the top German kart series heads to Cheb for the first time. The Czech Republic now follows Belgium and Italy to become the third country to host a round of the DKM. The drivers can look forward to a totally new stop on the calendar from 29th to 31st May, while motorsport fans can tune in to the livestream on the ADAC Motorsport YouTube channel to follow all the action in the second race of the season. The broadcasts are scheduled for 13:00 on Saturday and 9:00 on Sunday.
More than 155 participants will compete at the second race weekend, with top-class fields in all five classes: KZ2, Mini, OK-N Junior, OK-N and KZ2 Cup. After a thrilling season-opener in Mülsen, the weekend in Cheb is set to be an equally exciting affair. The circuit represents uncharted territory for many of the teams and drivers, making the practice sessions and setup work before the first race even more important.
Located close to the border with Germany, the Fun Arena Cheb has long been one of the best-known kart tracks in the Czech Republic. The circuit is 1,202 metres in length, with 15 turns. The combination of fast straights, technical sections and overtaking opportunities means that the track presents a challenging task for drivers and karts alike.
The early pacesetters in the DKM will be aiming to stay on top in Cheb. Daniel Stell (Kartshop Ampfing) produced a strong performance to claim victory in the KZ2 final at the season-opener in Mülsen. Roman Meister (TB Racing Team) is heading to the Czech Republic with plenty of momentum in the Mini class. Henri Möhring (Dörr Motorsport) and Constantin Papst (TB Racing Team) came out on top in the new OK-N Junior and OK-N categories. 31 Junior drivers and 29 Seniors will be racing in these very competitive categories in Cheb.
Once again, the most extensive field is expected in the KZ2 Cup, with 52 starters. The KZ2 Cup delivered some surprises to get the season started, with Manuel Kastl (CS Competition) claiming victory in that class in Mülsen after the lead had changed hands on numerous occasions, A similarly high level of performance is expected in Cheb, making it all the more important for the drivers to use the qualifying sessions and the heats to put themselves in a good position for the final day.
The race weekend follows the tried-and-tested programme: on Saturday, a free practice session is followed by qualifying and the heats. Sunday features the super heats and the finals in all five classes.
