The curtain fell on Arthur Rogeon’s 2020 season in November on the final evening of the world championship in Portugal. In-depth reflections then began to analyse the months that had passed to prepare the best strategy for the driver from the Pays de la Loire region of France to move up to OK, the top category in ‘traditional’ direct drive karting. After talking to several Italian factories, it was decided that the best course for him to follow would be to join CRG, winner of a raft of world titles.

The double round of the WSK Open Cup will get underway from November 24th to 29th. A good number of drivers will contest MINI, OKJ, OK and KZ2, including a lot of champions. The FIA Karting World Championship - OK & Junior has been rescheduled to the Kartódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portugal from 5th to 8th November 2020. The circuit of Portimão, in the south of Portugal, received its last CIK-FIA Competition in June 2016 for the OK and OK-Junior European Championships as well as the Academy Trophy. Located within a superb complex dedicated to motorsport, which has just been awarded the Portuguese F1 Grand Prix, the karting facilities include a 1531 metre long track, full of gradient changes, fast and spectacular.
