RMC Euro Trophy: Around 250 drivers expected for round 3 in Genk

The 2026 Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy enters its second half of the season with Round 3, scheduled to take place at the legendary Karting Genk: The Home of Champions from June 24 to June 28, 2026.

Around 250 drivers are expected to compete at one of the most iconic venues in international karting, further underlining the strength of the championship as the battle for the 2026 titles intensifies. Once again, Senior MAX confirms itself as the leading category of the series, attracting well over 100 entries and reinforcing its status as one of the most competitive classes in Rotax Karting.

The international profile of the event remains equally impressive, with competitors representing more than 30 nations, a figure that once again highlights the worldwide appeal of the Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy.

A major novelty for the 2026 season will make its debut in Genk, where the E20 Senior and E20 Masters categories will join the event for the first time. The two fully electric classes represent an important step in the continued evolution of Rotax Karting and will add a new dimension to the weekend.

The winners of both categories will be awarded a ticket to the 2026 Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals.

The event will begin with two days of testing on Wednesday and Thursday, allowing teams and drivers to prepare for the competitive phase of the weekend. Friday will see the start of official competition with Qualifying Practices and the opening Qualifying Heats, which will continue throughout Saturday. The event will culminate on Sunday with the Prefinals and Finals that will determine the winners of Round 3.

With championship battles becoming increasingly intense and the addition of the E20 categories bringing a new element to the event, all ingredients are in place for another memorable chapter of the 2026 Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy season.

Beyond its historical significance, Karting Genk is also regarded as one of the most technically demanding circuits in European karting. The layout combines long full-throttle sections with several medium and low-speed corners, placing a strong emphasis on braking stability, traction and racecraft. Overtaking opportunities are numerous, particularly at the end of the main straight and through the opening sector, while the flowing middle section rewards drivers capable of maintaining momentum and precision over an entire lap.

The circuit's mix of technical corners and drafting zones traditionally produces closely contested races, making Genk one of the most challenging and complete tests for both drivers and teams throughout the season.
