After the appointment of the official drivers for the 2022 season, Sodikart continues to structure its team for the next season and appoints Mansel Smith as team manager. Recent World Champion in 2021 with Noah Milell in KZ and Tuukka Taponen in OK, Mansel will manage the Sodi Racing Team in all international races.

The first competition of the 2021 season, the WSK Champions Cup allowed Birel ART Racing to debut it's team on the Adria Karting Raceway in the presence of a record number of participants. In Mini, the largest category, Van Langendonk did very well to reach 6th position in the Final. Spirgel showed excellent competitiveness in the Junior class, and Kucharczyk adapted perfectly to the OK category, as did Thanapongpan in KZ2.

Dutch driver Tijmen van der Helm will move up to the FIA Formula 3 Championship with MP Motorsport this year, allowing the 17-year-old talent from Den Hoorn to showcase his abilities during Grand Prix weekends.

Strengthened by its experience and partnerships established in 2020 with successful and renowned teams, the Alpha Karting brand keeps growing through the integration of new partners including KPR in Ile de France. 2021 will be a turning point for the Alpha Karting brand which also centralizes its logistics services in Nantes. All of the drivers of team Leclerc by Lennox Racing have provided a great performance on a high-level test on the South Garda Karting circuit, which this weekend was theater to the 25th Winter Cup. Despite some unforeseen events which prevented the team from returning home with a much more substantial weekend with many more victories, both the performance of the group and of the Charles Leclerc by Birel ART chassis lived up to expectations right from the first start of the free practice.

After a successful karting career, Kas Haverkort will switch to motor racing this year. The 16-year-old Team NL driver will compete for the Dutch MP Motorsport team in the Spanish F4 Championship. “I am really looking forward to it and will do my very best. A place in the top three is certainly my goal in that respect,” says an enthusiastic Haverkort.

The exciting story of Sodikart and endurance racing has been enriched by a new and particularly brilliant chapter at the 34th edition of the Le Mans 24 Hours Karting, held on the last weekend of September. With many Sodi chassis competing, Sodi has achieved excellent results at the most famous endurance race in the world. The factory Sodikart GP1 team won the overall classification with its second consecutive FIA Karting Endurance Championship, while the GP2 class concluded with three Sodi chassis on the podium.

During a particularly tricky competition, Birel ART Racing was able to place two of its drivers at the front of the OK European Championship. Pole position and 3rd place in Qualifying Practice for Luigi Coluccio and Alessandro Irlando, followed by two top-three finishes in the heats, confirmed the level of performance of the Birel ART chassis and their TM Racing engines at the highest level.

Young karting sensation Tijmen van der Helm will switch to single-seater car racing with MP Motorsport this year, the 15-year-old from Den Hoorn in the Netherlands deciding to step up to Formula 4 with the Dutch team.
