The German Kart Championship (DKM) will include five race weekends in the upcoming year, combining traditional tracks in Germany with a special highlight abroad. For the first time ever, Germany’s premier kart racing series will make a stop in Cheb, Czech Republic. The season opener will take place from May 1 to 3 in Saxony: the new season kicks off at Arena E in Mülsen – as tradition dictates, the DKM will conclude at ProKart Raceland in Wackersdorf. The decisive races of the 2026 season will be held there from September 25 to 27. A new class structure will also be introduced: alongside the Mini and Shifter Kart (KZ2) categories, the OK-N Junior and OK-N classes will be added for the first time.

At the fourth of five race weekends, more than 200 drivers lined up on the 1,107-meter cult track. In front of packed grandstands and under consistently dry late-summer weather, the six classes delivered thrilling karting action — including the first championship decision in the Minis. The final winners in Kerpen were Markus Kajak (DKM), Marc Alexander Reistrup (DJKM), Jeffrey Fikse (DSKC), Devin Titz (DMKM), Maxim Becker (X30 Junior) and Lars Ramaer (X30 Senior).

The Erftlandring in Kerpen is the venue for the fourth event of the German Kart Championship this coming weekend and could prove to be groundbreaking in the title fight. The supporting programme will once again feature the youngsters of the Mini 60 Series by Chrono Karting. The title sponsor is GTC Race - the sports car series has been a partner of the DKM since the beginning of the year and supports the championship with a GT4 test drive.

A few days before the turn of the year, the program of the German Kart Championship is ready. After the calendar was already published in October, Franciacorta (Italy) completes the program. In addition, further innovations await in the highest German kart racing series. The registration starts on December 20^th.

In mid-September, the German Kart Championship selected its champions for 2022, and now the championship is looking ahead to the coming season. Five events are again planned in Germany, Belgium and Italy. In addition, there will be a special event to prepare for the World Championship.

The start into the German Kart Championship's anniversary year couldn't have been more diversified. 102 participants travelled to the Erftland and experienced hard fights for the first championship points of the year in mixed weather. In the end, there were seven different winners.

Finally, after an almost half-year-long break, the German Kart Championship is going to start again. This weekend (April 1^st to 3^rd 2022), the first ranked races of the anniversary season are going to take place on the Erftlandring in Kerpen.
