The second and final day of testing held at the Red Bull Ring on Easter Sunday brought to a close the three pre-season tests of the FIA Formula Regional European Championship, which had kicked off at the end of March at Germany's Hockenheim circuit before moving on to Paul Ricard and, finally, Austria.

The GB3 Championship, partnered by the BRDC, has released a new-look calendar for the 2026 season, with events at the Red Bull Ring and the season finale at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya being the headline additions. Both F1 venues are set to host GB3 action for the first time, with the season schedule retaining the customary eight-round, 24-race schedule.

The seventh round of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine came to a close at the Red Bull Ring. Starting from pole and leading all the way to the chequered flag, Van Amersfoort Racing’s Brazilian driver, Pedro Clerot, powered to his second victory of the season. Clerot was caught in a lively scrap with Enzo Deligny at the start, but once clear of the early battles, he pushed hard and built a gap of over 2.7 seconds at the finish.

A dominant victory for Italian driver Matteo De Palo with Trident at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg. Starting from pole position earned in the morning qualifying, De Palo led from lights to flag to win Race 1 of the seventh round of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine. He left no openings for rivals, even managing the restart perfectly after a Safety Car triggered by an incident involving CL Motorsport’s rookies Zhenrui Chi and Enea Frey, Giovanni Maschio with RPM Motorsport, Al Maosherji with G4 Racing, and Jack Beeton with Prema Racing. The two CL Motorsport rookies were forced to retire, while the others were able to continue.

The Prema Racing driver wins with an overtaking move on Stolcermanis and takes the lead in the standings. Van Amersfoort Racing drivers Gustav Jonsson and Hiyu Yamakoshi complete the podium.

The first race of the second round of the Euro 4 Championship, held at the prestigious Formula 1 circuit in Spielberg bei Knittelfeld, was won by poleman Freddie Slater. The performance of the driver from Stratford-upon-Avon was impeccable, in a race marked by challenging weather conditions. At the Red Bull Ring, a few drops of rain started falling during the formation lap and intensified over the course of the 30 minutes + 1 lap race.

It was a perfect race for James Wharton at the Red Bull Ring, where the Prema Racing driver, after starting from pole, managed to stay in control from the first to the last lap, securing his second victory of the season in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine, achieving this result during the 75th race in the history of the series. Applause also went to Evan Giltaire, who, driving one of ART Grand Prix’s cars, staged a sensational comeback, rising from twelfth to second place after challenging Wharton in the final corners.

A highly competitive and intense second test session unfolded today at the Red Bull Ring, the stage for the eighth round of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine. The drivers on track this afternoon found a circuit that progressively dried out after the heavy rain that fell yesterday and earlier this morning.

Friday’s action in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine once again began under rain, though the conditions were lighter compared to yesterday. However, the drivers still had to take to the track on wet surfaces.

Alessandro Giusti, the French driver from G4 Racing, gave himself a birthday present in the second race at the Red Bull Ring. Starting from pole position, he secured his second win of the season, celebrating from the top step of the podium on his 17th birthday.

The second qualifying session of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine brought the challenge to the track Sunday morning at the Red Bull Ring. The drivers entered the track in two groups, in reverse order compared to Saturday’s qualifying. The pole position for Race 2 was claimed by French driver Alessandro Giusti from G4 Racing. This marks Giusti’s second pole in the series, following his first victory at Paul Ricard before the summer break. Yesterday was already a favorable day for the driver, as he topped his group and finished Race 1 on the podium. With an excellent performance in qualifying, the Frenchman has created a perfect opportunity to add to his victories in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine.

Race 1 of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine at the Red Bull Ring is a solo performance by Rafael Camara. The PREMA Racing Brazilian driver made an excellent start and fully utilized the pace he demonstrated in qualifying to claim his second victory of the season. From start to finish, his win is undisputed, as he flawlessly controls the race, not allowing any of his pursuers to get close enough to attempt an overtaking maneuver.

The second year of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine will remain impressed in the memory of its fans not only for the excitement and show that was offered on track, but also for the success achieved by the series in terms of numbers.

A spectacular Race 1 full of twists and turns took place at the Red Bull Ring, where the eighth round of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine was held, with Kas Haverkort (Van Amersfoort Racing) reaching the highest step of the podium ahead of teammate Joshua Dufek. Behind, RPM’s new addition Pierre-Louis Chovet‘s entered the season with a flawless performance, leading him to third place having led the race for a few laps.

Paul Aron confirmed his top form at Red Bull Ring claiming his fifth pole position of the year in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine at the end of a thrilling qualifying session. 

After turning 15 on August 15th, Arvid Lindblad can finally start his open wheel racing career in Italian F4 in Spielberg.
