SJM Theodore PREMA Racing saw a promising and exciting day turn into disappointment today at the 72nd Macau Grand Prix. The team fought for the win in the opening half of the FIA FR World Cup main race, with a stunning overall display, but ended up with a triple DNF.

Freddie Slater performed brilliantly in Day 2 of qualifying, in a session that proved extremely challenging. Overnight rain meant that the track was not particularly quicker than on Thursday, and contacts with the wall led to multiple stoppages. That had an effect on how the results unfolded.

With a scintillating drive on Thursday’s Qualifying 1 session, Freddie Slater led the opening day of the 2025 Macau Grand Prix. While a late red flag forced drivers to come back on track for one final push, the British sensation posted an excellent lap of 2m15.708 to beat his closest competitor by more than 3 tenths of a second.

Freddie Slater has officially been crowned the 2025 Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine Champion following a decisive performance in Race 1 at Monza, the final round of the season organised by ACI Sport and Alpine Racing. The British driver adds his name to the prestigious list of past champions, joining Grégoire Saucy (2021), Dino Beganovic (2022), Andrea Kimi Antonelli (2023), and Rafael Camara (2024).

The seventh round of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine came to a close at the Red Bull Ring. Starting from pole and leading all the way to the chequered flag, Van Amersfoort Racing’s Brazilian driver, Pedro Clerot, powered to his second victory of the season. Clerot was caught in a lively scrap with Enzo Deligny at the start, but once clear of the early battles, he pushed hard and built a gap of over 2.7 seconds at the finish.

Starting from pole position earned in the morning qualifying, De Palo led from lights to flag to win Race 1 of the seventh round of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine. He left no openings for rivals, even managing the restart perfectly after a Safety Car triggered by an incident involving CL Motorsport’s rookies Zhenrui Chi and Enea Frey, Giovanni Maschio with RPM Motorsport, Al Maosherji with G4 Racing, and Jack Beeton with Prema Racing. The two CL Motorsport rookies were forced to retire, while the others were able to continue.

Freddie Slater delivered a solid weekend at Imola, home to the sixth round of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine. Starting from the front row twice after leading his qualifying group for both races,  he stormed back to P2 after dropping one spot at the start. Unfortunately, after a controlled run in Race 2, his car was disqualified for a technical infraction.
