On the final day of IWF25, the sun shone down on the Kartodromo Internacional Lucas Guerrero and temperatures rose above 20°C. On the track, it was even hotter, with breathtaking races in all categories. The Finals were full of incredible suspense, and often the winner was not decided until the last lap, or even the last corner. With flawless organisation, the IAME Warriors Final confirmed its status as a world-class event.
The quality of the IAME engines played a key role in the success of this competition. Performance, reliability and sporting fairness were once again on display, contributing to making this event unique. The Spanish circuit team and the organiser RGMMC brought both rigour and a festive atmosphere, particularly during the grand parade of drivers and the cocktail party that followed. Aaron Garcia Lopez (ESP) in X30 Senior, Max Endacott (GBR) in X30 Junior, Daniel Ferguson (GRB) in X30 Mini, Jack Dex (GBR) in X30 Master and Gabin Adam (FRA) in S125 are the winners of this intense and spectacular 14th edition of the IWF25.
Spanish victory in X30 Senior
Between Zac Drummond (GBR), the leader after the Qualifying Heats, Danny Carenini (ITA), winner of Super Heat 1, and Freddie Lloyd (GBR), 1st in Super Heat 2, the Final began with incessant battles, with Andy Ratel (FRA) and Ruben Moya (ESP) also lying in wait. Aaron Garcia Lopez (ESP), who set the fastest lap, joined the pack, from which Carenini managed to break away. He headed for victory unchallenged, unaware that a manoeuvre in the early laps, deemed unsportsmanlike, would cost him the win.

Thanks to a skilful overtaking manoeuvre on the outside on Drummond and Lloyd, Garcia Lopez made the right move and found himself in the lead virtually. Lloyd lost his chance of a podium finish when he retired a few laps from the end. On home soil, Garcia Lopez finally caused the Spanish anthem to ring out in Chiva from the top of the podium, with Drummond and Carenini on each side. After a strong comeback from 14th place, Oscar Goudchaux (FRA) overtook Andy Ratel (FRA) at the last minute to take 4th place.

Thrilling finale in X30 Junior
Leading after the Qualifying Heats, Daniel Miron Lorente (NED) remained in 1st place after his victory in Super Heat 1, with Many Nuvolini (FRA) taking 2nd place. The start of the race went well for Juste Mulder (NED), but Miron Lorente regained the lead a few laps later, while also setting the fastest lap. The battle for victory continued until the end, with two drivers joining the duel on the last lap. Dan Allemann (SUI), who had been in 3rd place for a long time, failed in his attempt to overtake and lost some time to Mulder, who was overtaken by Nuvolini and Max Endacott (GBR).

In the final chicane, Nuvolini attempted a difficult outside pass on Miron Lorente. The two karts touched and Miron Lorente spun out, unable to continue. Winner of the 2024 X30 Mini event, Nuvolini crossed the finish line in 1st place but then dropped to 10th due to a penalty. Endacott was declared the winner of this lively Final ahead of Mulder. Behind them, several drivers managed to pull off a good result and finished in style. Alex Martinez Escrihuela (ESP) took 3rd place on the podium ahead of Jarlath Sayer (GBR) and Jacob Bachler (GBR).

Ferguson holds off Murro in X30 Mini
Achilleas Peruzzi (UAE) found himself in the lead after Friday evening's Qualifying Heats, before dropping to 4th on the starting grid for the Final behind Daniel Ferguson (GBR), winner of Super Heat 2, Hugo Fuentes Luque (ESP) and Wynn Godschalk (USA), 1st in Super Heat 1. Godschalk led the first lap of the Final, bringing a lively pack with him. On lap 5, a racing incident led to a collision at the chicane, which caused Godschalk and Miguel Martins (POR) to retire.

Peruzzi briefly took the lead before being overtaken by Riley Murro (GBR) and Ferguson. Ferguson then stepped up his game and pulled away with Murro. In total, no fewer than 11 drivers managed to join the top five of the Final, but the large chasing pack eventually broke up into several groups. At the front, Ferguson set the fastest lap, then held off Murro perfectly to cross the finish line as the winner. Alfie Davidson (GBR) and Aurelio Longhitano (SUI), who had come back from 14th and 18th place respectively, managed to break away into 3rd and 4th place. On the last lap, Longhitano overtook his rival to complete the top three. Behind them, John Han (HKG) and Nahyl El Gahoudi (MAR) took the chequered flag in that order, separated by just two tenths of a second. Colbe Pattison (GBR) was penalised and dropped from 5th to 7th place.

X30 Master: Dex in the right place at the right time
The drivers in this category may be 30 years old or more, but they remain brilliant competitors, fast and combative. Starting from pole position after leading the Qualifying Heats and winning the Super Heat, local driver Pedro Ivars Agostinelli (ESP) was hoping to use his perfect knowledge of the track to take the win. But right from the start of the race, he found himself under threat from John Norris (IRL). The reigning champion took the lead, before the two karts collided, forcing the Irishman to retire. From then on, Ivars Agostinelli sped towards victory, before being penalised with a five-second penalty for his manoeuvre.

Jack Dex (GBR), who had won his duel with Gary Edwards (IRL), thus regained the winner's spot after a hard-fought battle! After a magnificent comeback from 10th place with the fastest lap to boot, Alexandre-Benoît Bessac eventually got the better of Edwards and then François-Xavier Venet (FRA) to climb onto the third step of the podium.

Gabin Adam wins solo in S125
The Final started at a very fast pace, with several contenders for victory, including the three Frenchmen Gabin Adam, who took pole position and won two heats, Andy Ratel, leader of the intermediate classification, and Maxence Bouvier, with one victory. However, it was Knud Nielsen (DEN) who won the Super Heat, proving that nothing was a foregone conclusion. From the very first laps of the Final, the expected battle began between Ratel, Bouvier and Adam. As the laps went by, Adam made an irresistible difference and pulled away.

Luna Cleret, who was 5th at the start of the race, had to retire due to a broken chain. Several drivers joined the decisive battle for the podium, including Ewan Carrot (FRA), who was penalised, and Jagrat Detroja (IND), who retired five laps from the finish. Having recovered well from an incident in the Super Heat, Mirco Wouters (BEL) made a superb comeback to finish 2nd behind Adam, the overall winner with a lead of almost 8 seconds. Ratel, who set the fastest lap, took the third step on the podium ahead of François-David Fontaine (FRA) and Robbie Buckley (IRL). Bouvier fell to 8th place.
