Round 3 of the 2026 Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy concluded today at Karting Genk: The Home of Champions, after an action-packed Finals Day. Although temperatures were slightly cooler than in the previous days, the intensity on track rose immediately, with 14 races delivering close battles and several decisive moments across the seven categories.
The winners of the Belgian round are Joshua Cooke (Mini MAX), Finlay Lines (Junior MAX), Freddie Lloyd (Senior MAX), Jakub Bezel (Kraft Motorsport) in DD2, Dimo Notarfrancesco (DD2 Masters), Marcos De Dios (E20 Senior) and Carl Cleirbaut (E20 Masters).
The first Finals of the day belonged to the gearbox categories. Jakub Bezel (Kraft Motorsport) once again demonstrated why he is the reigning RMC Euro Trophy champion, absorbing constant pressure while defending the lead from lights to flag. Behind him, positions changed repeatedly before Friday's pole sitter Patryk Donica (Birelart by KSB Racing)secured second place in a final-lap sprint against William Kristensen (RS Competition).
Bezel's second consecutive victory allows him to further extend his championship advantage.
In DD2 Masters, the unbeaten run of Nicolas Picot (Privateer) came to an end after contact forced him out of contention. Dimo Notarfrancesco (Kartteam Meier) capitalised to claim victory ahead of Steve Vermeulen (Privateer)and Mirco Gervasoni (Privateer).
The electric categories crowned their first winners of the 2026 season. Marcos De Dios (Privateer) became the inaugural E20 Senior winner after a controlled performance ahead of Akos Madaras and Anna Benedek.
In E20 Masters, home driver Carl Cleirbaut (Bouvin Power) completed a flawless weekend by taking victory ahead of Michele Burzese and Javier Fernandez. Both De Dios and Cleirbaut leave Genk with the first Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals tickets awarded in the E20 categories.
It is now three in a row for Joshua Cooke (KR Sport). The British driver extended his remarkable winning streak by adding the Belgian Cup Mini MAX to the Italian and German titles already secured this season.
Second place went to Oscar Kenney (Hunter Motorsport), who also secured the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals ticket allocated for the Belgian round, while Charlie Page (Privateer) completed the podium in third.
The Junior MAX Final delivered one of the most entertaining races of the weekend. Over 15 laps, the lead changed hands several times between pole sitter Albert Friend (Dan Holland Racing), championship leader Zdenek Babicek (Dan Holland Racing), outsider Finlay Lines (Privateer) and a charging Emerson Macandrew-Uren (Dan Holland Racing).
The decisive move came during the middle phase of the race, when Lines established the advantage that ultimately carried him to victory. Friend secured second place, with Babicek completing the podium.
The final race of the weekend provided a fitting conclusion to an outstanding event. After another impressive performance throughout the weekend, Jeremy Reuvers (Karting Club Campillos) looked set for victory before Freddie Lloyd (Evolution Motorsport) produced a decisive move in the closing stages to snatch the win on the final lap.
Reuvers finished second after leading much of the race, while Macauley Bishop (Dan Holland Racing) completed the podium following another competitive weekend.
A spectacular Sunday brought an equally spectacular Round 3 of the 2026 Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy to a close. The championship will now head to its decisive final round, scheduled for September 9–13 in Trinec, where the 2026 champions will be crowned.
