The 2026 FIA Karting season officially got underway today as karts hit the track for the first time and drivers got to grips with the La Conca circuit in southern Italy. Following free practice sessions earlier this morning, drivers had their first opportunity to get a nose ahead in the Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship standings as Qualifying Practice began.

At La Conca, when it rains, it truly pours. The 183 drivers competing in this weekend’s opening round of the Champions of the Future season experienced exactly that today, as heavy rain created extremely challenging conditions throughout.

In 2026, the series opens at World Circuit La Conca from 1 to 4 March. The 1,250 metre circuit, also known to the paddock as Muro Leccese, sits in the province of Lecce in South Eastern Italy, just a short drive from the Adriatic coast. Known for its stone craftsmanship and deep-rooted history, the surrounding town provides stunning surroundings for a weekend of elite racing with 188 talents.

The WSK Super Master Series came to a close at Franciacorta following five rounds held between late January and late March. At every event, the Kart Republic colours were on the top step of the podium.

The fifth and final round of the WSK Super Master Series confirms the massive success of the championship organized by WSK Promotion. Once again, it presents an extraordinary international event with a high-capacity paddock packed with top-tier talent. For the grand finale at the Franciacorta Karting Track, scheduled for March 18–22, over 400 drivers are expected across the MINI, OKNJ, OKJ, OK, and KZ2 categories.

As the overall result shows, KR chassis performed well in all categories at Lonato, from Mini to KZ. Seven podiums, including two victories, added to the Italian brand's list of achievements in the WSK Super Master Series. With just a few days to go before the final round in Franciacorta, many drivers flying the colours of the Kart Republic factory chassis are extremely well placed to reach the overall podium of the series. The suspense is already over in OK-N Junior: with four wins in four races, Niccolo Perico is already assured of taking the crown!

A total of 400 drivers are expected at South Garda Karting for the fourth round of the WSK Super Master Series in Lonato. These are again great figures for categories MINI, OK-NJ, OKJ, OK and KZ2.

In all categories in which the KR chassis was officially represented, the podium was secured in the third round of the WSK Super Master Series. On the Leopard circuit, the event ended with Niccolo Perico's victory in OK-N Junior, where the Italian extended his lead in the overall standings. Titles are also still within reach in OK and OK-Junior, as well as in both Mini categories.

The spectacular third round of the series ended at the Leopard Circuit Viterbo with the victories going to Van Walstijn (KZ2), Krutogolov (OK), Pizzonia (OKJ), Miras (MINI U10), Pace (MINI Gr.3), and Perico (OK-NJ). 

Qualifying heats ended at the Leopard Circuit Viterbo ahead of the Final stages on Sunday, February 22nd. The TV Live Streaming coverage starts at 9:50, Finals at 13:30. 

The first heats have been held after qualifying practice in the morning. The remaining heats will be on Saturday, while the final stages will follow on Sunday, February 22nd with TV Live Streaming coverage. 

From Mini to KZ, KR chassis performed well in all categories during the second round of the WSK Super Master Series. This was clearly the Italian brand's goal for this trip to the Sarno circuit, which is preparing to host an FIA Karting event, the Champions of the Future Euro Series and an ACI Italian Championship event.

In Sarno the victories went to Van Walstijn (KZ2), Hoogendoorn (OK), Babicek (OKJ), Burgess (MINI U10), Godschalk (MINI Gr3), and Perico (OK-NJ).

Following the extraordinary season opener of the WSK Super Master Series 2026 at the La Conca International Circuit on January 25th, the second round is already at the starting blocks, scheduled to take place at the International Circuit Napoli in Sarno from February 4 to 8.

The leaders after the heats are Van Walstijn (KZ2), Drummond (OK), Miron (OKJ), Bos (MINI U10), Mair (MINI Gr3) and Perico (OK-NJ). Prefinals and Finals on Sunday, February 8th.
