The 2025 season of the Tony Kart Racing Team ends in the best possible way. On the occasion of the third and final round of the WSK Final Cup, at the South Garda Karting in Lonato del Garda, the Tony Kart Racer 401 T chassis wins the title in the OK category, powered by the Vortex Engines VTS engine. Their chassis also plays a leading role in the other classes, equipped with VTZ (KZ2) and VTJ (OKJ) engines from the OTK Kart Group's engine division, next to the Tony Kart Rookie in the MINI classes, paired with the Vortex VTM.
In OK, Jindřich Pešl arrives in Lonato del Garda as the provisional championship leader, just back from his success in the previous round in Cremona. The Czech driver collects a victory, a second and a fourth place in the qualifying heats, finishes second in the A pre-final and secures a front row start for the final. Despite a less-than-ideal start, Pešl shows off to be perfect in the first corners and runs steadily in third place, running close with the two drivers ahead of him. Their driver manages his race intelligently and, at the last corner of the last lap, manages to secure his second place. With the results gathered in the three rounds of the championship and a total of 303 points, Pešl secures his title, with a comfortable gap of 95 points over his closest chaser.
Oliver Rasmussen is their second-best-ranked driver in the final. The Danish driver, who finished fourth in the A Pre-Final on Sunday morning, performs a solid final and is able to finish in the top ten. Thomas Pradier ended the race not far behind his teammate, after a hard qualifying heat due to the rain. Mateo Rivals, in his third appearance among the ‘Seniors’, is the best climber in the final, gaining fourteen positions from the starting grid. Iskender Zulfikari, who has been improving steadily throughout the weekend, is forced to stop.
In KZ2 class, Marcus Armstrong‘s return to karting in 2025 ends with the final round in Lonato del Garda, a track that the driver faced in 2016 during the Winter Cup, whose race he competed still with the Racing Team. The experience gained in the three championship rounds proved to be precious for the New Zealander ahead of his IndyCar Series commitment in 2026.
In OKJ, Ilie Trisan Crisan is once again at the top of the category. The Canadian driver opens the weekend with a victory in the first qualifying heat (also setting the fastest lap), then gains the third place in the third eliminatory heat and finishes in the top five in the A Pre-final: a series of solid results that worth him the fourth place on the final starting grid. Thanks to a brilliant start, Crisan immediately takes the lead in the last and decisive race of the weekend. In the following battle for the top positions and for the title, Crisan unfortunately has to settle for a result off the podium.
Antonio Reginaldo Pizzonia Neto shows off in the qualifying heats, achieving a fourth place as his best result and finishing the final as the second-best driver in their sports division. Julian Frasnelli runs firmly at the top of the standings between eliminatory heats and pre-final; in the final, he runs in the eighth position after the first few corners, but a collision with another competitor pushed him into the barriers, forcing him to stop. Oliveri Sini is also involved in a multiple accident on the opening lap, preventing him to realize the results gathered in the previous days. Yubo Wen and Henri-Constant Kumpen are also attending the event, continuing their growing path with the team.
In MINI Gr.3, Victor Thomas Gorun arrives in Lonato del Garda soon gaining the first place in the overall standings. The Romanian driver achieves the second place as his best result in the qualifying heats and finishes third in the A Prefinal, securing himself a place on the second row of the final starting grid. From the very beginning of the race, Gorun runs firmly in the leading group and fights until the end for a place on the podium. The championship ends with a bronze medal for their driver.
After finishing the A Prefinal in second place, Lingham Li brings a positive top-10 finish home. Miguel Enrique Manzano Suarez stands out in the last race of the weekend with a remarkable comeback of not less than 14 positions, finishing just outside the top ten. Zane Pace and Andrea Iannone also take part in the final, both with good lap times.
In the MINI Gr.3 U10, Nahil Padovani Amador performs a long training before the new year, working hard with the staff, as well as his teammate Farel Dugat Beretta.
