PREMA is pleased to confirm that Alex Powell will join the team for the F3 test in Madrid and the remaining races of the 2026 FIA Formula 3 season, following Louis Sharp's departure from the team.
Powell, an American-Jamaican driver, returns to PREMA having won the Italian F4 Rookie Championship with the team in 2024. He has since gone on to finish as runner-up in the 2025 F4 UAE season, and is currently competing in Eurocup 3.
Stephen Mitas, Team Principal & CEO, PREMA Racing said: "We're delighted to welcome Alex back to PREMA. He's a driver we know well, and one who has already shown us what he can do in F4. His pace, racecraft and attitude make him a strong fit to contest the remainder of the season, and we're looking forward to working together again.”
Alex Powell said: "It means a lot to be coming back to PREMA. This team gave me my first opportunity in single-seaters, and returning for the final part of the F3 2026 season is a great opportunity to show what I can do. I can't wait to get in the car, and I’ll give it everything."
PREMA looks forward to welcoming Alex back for the remainder of the F3 season.
