Parolin Motorsport began the 2025 WSK Final Cup with a weekend of strong performances and outright speed at Franciacorta. The team featured prominently across the Mini U10, OK-Junior and OK categories, while Parolin chassis also reached the podium with Modena Kart and shone in the hands of other partner teams.

The first round of the 2025 WSK Final Cup in Franciacorta confirmed Birel ART's strength across all categories. Cristian Bertuca won in KZ2, while the young Junior and Mini drivers also put in strong performances. On a dry and fast track, the Italian brand once again combined pure speed, consistency and technical reliability.

The finals of the first of the three events of the WSK Final Cup were won by Godschalk (MINI U10), Gorun (MINI Gr.3), Marchesi (OK-N), Palacio (OK-NJ), Baglin (OKJ), Pesl (OK) and Bertuca (KZ2).      

The opening round runs from October 21st to 26th at the Franciacorta Karting Track with over 380 drivers. Entry lists are almost full in all categories, with a large turnout in the junior categories, notably the participation of 72 drivers in the MINI Gr.3 Under 10 class     

After the heats, the best places are held by Denner (KZ2), Pesl (OK), Baglin (OKJ), Schniegenberg (MINI U10), Perico (MINI Gr.3), Stasionis (OK-NJ) and Rossi (OK-N).      

Pole positions were claimed by Pezzucchi (KZ2), Drummond (OK), Babicek (OKJ), Kralev (MINI U10), Devin (MINI Gr.3), Ociepa (KN-NJ) and Donanzan (OK-N). Qualifying heats will follow shortly. Prefinals and Finals with Live TV and Live Streaming coverage will be on Sunday.

The global event held in Italy gave the IPK Group the opportunity to demonstrate the efficiency of its chassis and the expertise of the teams representing the Praga and Formula K brands. David Trefilov, who took pole position, dominated the KZ World Championship for much of the race but suffered an incident in the Final. Just off the podium, Marek Skřivan finished in the top five of the KZ2 World Cup and Davide Fore finished runner-up in the KZ2 Masters International Super Cup!

Once again, the CRG colors proved to be among the stars of the KZ category, taking 2nd place in the FIA World Championship held in Italy. On the Franciacorta track, Viktor Gustavsson was crowned World Vice Champion, continuing CRG’s long-standing tradition of strong results in the “top class” of shifter karting.

The World Championship event in Franciacorta will undoubtedly remain one of the most memorable FIA Karting events of recent years. All the ingredients were there: ideal weather conditions for the season in northern Italy, a magnificent field of 250 drivers, non-stop action on the track, a large audience around the track and watching the live stream, and superb organisation masterfully led by the Franciacorta Karting Track team. After 33 Qualifying Heats run from Friday afternoon to Saturday evening, uncertainty still reigns at the Franciacorta International Circuit. Only the weather conditions seem stable under the Lombardy sun, while the sporting hierarchy has regularly changed during the exciting races. In terms of the top spot, Italy's Angelo Lombardo has taken over from his compatriot Davide Fore at the top of the FIA Karting International Super Cup - KZ2 Masters intermediate standings. With around 250 drivers spread across three categories, it was essential to secure a good position before the start of the Qualifying Heats. The wait is over: from Thursday, October 9th to Sunday, October 12th, the Franciacorta circuit in Italy will host the most important event of the year for the Shifter categories — the FIA World Championship KZ-KZ2 and KZ2 Master. Over 250 drivers and the most prestigious international karting teams will compete for the most coveted title in the gearbox categories.

Parolin Motorsport and satellite team drivers finished on the podium in all categories at the last round of the Champions of the Future Shifter series at Franciacorta, just a week before the vital World Championship meeting at the same northern Italian circuit. The weather was fine all weekend, but with a definite autumnal chill in the air.

Following their success in the FIA Karting European Championships and WSK, Sodi chassis have just been crowned Champions of the Future Shifter in both the KZ and KZ2 categories. With one week to go before the World Championship, Senna Van Walstijn made a strong impression in KZ against tough competition on the Italian circuit of Franciacorta, winning the overall series classification ahead of his team-mate Jean Nomblot.

Since the beginning of October, the Franciacorta paddock has echoed with the sound of 125cc gearbox engines from the various KZ categories. With 203 participants, the Champions of the Future Shifter kicked off the action on the initiative of promoter RGMMC. From 9th to 12th October, FIA Karting will take over with the World Championship, with no fewer than 253 drivers expected in the Italian region of Brescia. Clearly, as manufacturer LeCont is supplying the KZ, KZ2 and KZ2 Masters in these two prestigious events, world-class drivers and their teams have enjoyed racing with premium tyres offering optimum performance, perfectly suited to their powerful karts!

October will be the month with the KZ2 and KZ categories taking center stage in the international karting scene. Next weekend (with Finals scheduled for Saturday, October 4), the 2nd and final round of the Champions of the Future will take place in Franciacorta, Italy. The following week, from October 8 to 11, on the same track, the most important event of the season for the Shifter categories is scheduled: the FIA World Championship KZ and the World Cup KZ2 and KZ Master. The most prominent drivers and teams in these categories will be based in Italy for 15 days to crown the 2025 World Champions. CRG boasts a prestigious and winning history in these categories, and once again this year, CRG and Kalì Kart chassis are expected to be among the frontrunners.
