The German Kart Championship (DKM) is under starter’s orders for the 2024 season. The registration period for the top German karting series begins in mid-January. Six race weekends at the best-known kart tracks in Germany await the competitors. All information on the series can be found at adac.de/motorsport.

As the future organizer of the Deutsche Kart Meisterschaft (DKM), the ADAC e.V. has presented the calendar for the 2024 season. Next year, the DKM calendar will grow to six events, which will be held from the season opener in April to the finale at the end of September.

The German Kart Championship will have a new look from the 2024 season onwards. For the coming season, ADAC e.V. will take over the organisation of the International German Kart Championship. The series has been an integral part of German karting since 1962, and the highest accolade in German karting will continue to be held under the umbrella of the ADAC in the future.

Since the start of enrolment in mid-January, the fields of participants for the four predicates have been filling up steadily.

The Sodikart brand and its partner CPB Sport once again demonstrated the quality of their equipment in KZ2, dominating the opening round of the WSK Open Cup. The newly developed “Project E20” electric kart from BRP-Rotax is probably the most important “asset” in this year’s DEKM season. “More power, a longer battery life and a reduced weight boost the performance of the German Electric Kart Championship to a whole new level,” says Oliver Schielein, Managing Director of IKmedia, the promoter of the series. During the first test drives, the new e-kart received an extremely enthusiastic reception from drivers. “We now want to ensure that we do not endanger the success of our most important asset by starting off with the handbrake engaged,” says Schielein.

From August 7-9th, the German Kart Championship is planning to start the 2020 season.
