Consistently at the front of the field since his arrival at IPK, Markus Kajak rose to the challenge at Sarno by climbing to the second step of the KZ2 podium. The Formula K SRP Factory Team driver moved up to 2nd in the European Championship standings. In KZ2 Masters, the title was close for Davide Fore and his IPK chassis in Praga colours. The second official day of competition, which saw the end of the Qualifying Heats and the first Super Heats, took place in stifling heat on the Naples International Circuit. A number of trends from Qualifying Practice for the Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship were confirmed, but certain races showed that things can change very quickly. Mattéo Spirgel in KZ, Maksim Orlov in KZ2 and Davide Fore in KZ2 Masters will attack the end of the competition in leading positions.

The Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship for gearbox categories got underway in the heat of the Naples International Circuit, with temperatures well in excess of 30 degrees. Qualifying Practice enabled the establishment of an initial hierarchy. Frenchman Mattéo Spirgel set the fastest absolute time in KZ, while his compatriot Corentin Rousseau took first place in KZ2. Manuel Cozzaglio, European Champion in 2003 and now competing in the Masters, showed that he had lost none of his talent when he was fastest in his category.

The second round of the German Kart Championship season in Mülsen had a lot to offer. While Markus Kajak (DKM), Milan Rossi (DJKM), Jayden Thien (DSKC), Devin Titz (DMKM), Bruno Greiling (X30 Junior) and Aaron Garcia Lopez (X30 Senior) won their finals, changing weather conditions on Sunday made for exciting racing. 210 drivers travelled to Saxony and battled for more championship points on the 1,315-metre Arena E race track.
