Jenni Wade and Björn Niemann presented the DKM racing calendar 2020. Due to the Corona crisis, this also had to be adjusted. The participants can look forward to four thrilling racing weekends. The starting shot is fired at the Erftlandring in Kerpen, then on to Mülsen, Wackersdorf and the final in Ampfing.

After a long winter break, riders, teams and organizers are looking forward to the start of the German Kart Championship 2020. It starts on the Schweppermannring in Ampfing. The first race of the year will take place in Bavaria from May 8th to 10th. Afterwards, it continues to Wackersdorf, Kerpen, Mülsen and Genk in Belgium.

The kick-off to the German Kart Championship 2020 season is going to happen on January 6th at 12 o’clock with the start of the online registration. Interested drivers can register for the four grade series DKM (OK), DJKM (OK-Junior), DSKM (KZ2) and DSKC (KZ2) on the website www.kart-dm.de. The racing calendar consists of five races spread over Germany and Belgium.

186 participants from all over the world are at Kerpen this weekend and drive the half-time races of the German Kart Championship. The 1.107m long Erftlandring has been a part of the highest German kart racing series for decades and still has a special flair. Unlike some of the new tracks, this one is especially challenging and demands full concentration. In the past, there were always several surprises regarding the fights for victory in Kerpen.

After a nine-week-long break, the participants of the German Kart Championship are going to start on the Erftlandring in Kerpen now. The venerable track has been a constant part of the DKM racing calendar for years and always poses a special challenge. Formula 1 record World Champion Michael Schumacher and four-time Formula 1 World Champion and DKM patron Sebastian Vettel already began their motorsports careers there. The first round of the FIA Karting European Championships - KZ and KZ2 started well for the Birel ART brand, which confirms the quality of its products more than ever in the categories using with 125cc gearbox engines. Impressive throughout the weekend in KZ, Alex Irlando was rewarded for his attacking race with the third step of the podium. In KZ2, Riccardo Longhi remained in the limelight throughout the Final, making an incredible comeback from 13th to 3rd place. The two European titles appear to be within the reach of the official Birel ART team in 2019.
