The FIA Formula 3 Championship returned to action on the ups and downs of the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, home to this weekend's eighth round of the category. In a closely contested qualifying session, the Trident Motorsport drivers put in a brilliant session. Rafael Câmara set the second-fastest time. Gabriel Gomez leaves the opening round of the E4 Championship as the leader. The Brazilian driver for US Racing collected 68 points thanks to two wins and one second place, taking the first lead of the season. After his victory in Race 1 and a second-place finish in Race 2, Gomez returned to the top step of the podium in Race 3, delivering an impeccable performance from pole position. From there, he managed to keep cool under pressure from Kean Nakamura-Berta, who was constantly chasing from behind.

The fifth round of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine concluded at Paul Ricard with a commanding performance from Freddie Slater (Prema Racing), who completed a perfect weekend by claiming his second win in as many days, adding to a double pole position achieved in qualifying. Thanks to his fourth win of the season, the British driver extends his lead in the overall standings to 168 points.

The opening race of the 2025 E4 Championship took place at Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet. Thanks to a perfect start, Gabriel Gomez claimed the inaugural victory after starting from third on the grid. The US Racing ace jumped into the lead at Turn 1, taking advantage of the fierce battle between pole-sitter Kean Nakamura-Berta and Sebastian Wheldon. The two Prema Racing drivers went on to complete the podium behind the Brazilian. Nakamura-Berta, the Slovak-Japanese driver currently at the top of the Italian F.4 Championship, will have another strong opportunity to aim for the top step in Race 2, starting once again from pole. Gomez, meanwhile, will start from pole in Race 3.

A textbook victory was delivered by Freddie Slater this afternoon at Circuit Paul Ricard, host of the fifth of ten double-header rounds on the 2025 Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine calendar. The Prema Racing driver led from lights to flag after starting from pole position, also setting the fastest lap mid-race. It was a flawless performance from the British driver, who, with his fourth win of the season, reclaimed the top spot in the overall standings by just three points over Matteo De Palo.

The Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine completed its second and final Collective Test of the day at Circuit Paul Ricard, with Freddie Slater emerging as the fastest driver on track. The Briton set the benchmark early on with a best lap of 1:57.782, confirming the competitive pace shown by the Prema Racing squad throughout the day.
