At the final round of the 2026 French F4 Championship, young Moroccan driver Sofia Zanfari once again stepped onto the female podium at Le Castellet on the iconic Circuit Paul Ricard following Race 3. Sofia brought her French F4 campaign to a decidedly positive conclusion.
No fewer than 30 drivers, including 7 females, took part in this final single-seater showdown as part of the French Circuit Championship. In Race 3, Sofia fully earned her spot on the women’s podium with a commanding performance that saw her gain seven positions in the standings.
Following an international karting career that saw her progress from 60 Mini to OK and OK-N across circuits in Europe, the United Arab Emirates and the United States, the young Moroccan notably distinguished herself in the Champions of the Future Academy Program’s OK-N class. She then stepped up to French F4 in 2025, where she collected a total of seven female podium finishes.

Sofia Zanfari’s name features prominently on the shortlist of potential recruits for the upcoming F1 Academy season. Created to help young female drivers advance to the highest levels of motorsport and led by Susie Wolff, the all-female series enjoys immense exposure thanks to its inclusion in the Formula 1 Grand Prix calendar and the backing of various F1 teams, which Cadillac will join in 2027. At 19 years of age, Sofia has already been selected for the official evaluation stages, taking part in physical and cognitive assessments in the United Kingdom as well as on-track testing in Spain.
Although the definitive 2027 grid has yet to be finalised, Sofia Zanfari is firmly positioned among the leading contenders to join the championship.
