The sixth and penultimate round of the 2025 F4 Spanish Championship at Valencia crowned Thomas Strauven as the new overall champion and Ean Eyckmans as the Rookie Champion, marking a historic all-Belgian weekend in the series. Strauven sealed the title with five races to spare — the earliest coronation in the championship’s history — by winning Saturday’s opening race, while Eyckmans clinched his rookie crown after Race 3 on Sunday.
It couldn’t have happened in a more symbolic way: race number 199 in the history of F4 Spanish Championship, won by the driver carrying number 99. The date, October 18, 2025, will forever be special for Strauven and Campos Racing, who celebrated their second Drivers’ crown after Nikola Tsolov’s in 2022. After an early-season battle with René Lammers and Jan Przyrowski, Strauven began to pull clear from Portimão onward, capitalising on his rivals’ misfortunes and maintaining relentless consistency through the summer. In parallel, Eyckmans rose steadily to insert himself between Lammers and Przyrowski in the standings, ensuring the fight for the runner-up spot remains open.
Strauven’s numbers highlight the scale of his dominance: eight wins, eight pole positions and fourteen podiums in sixteen races. His title also gives Campos Racing its second Drivers’ Championship, joining the long list of six titles for MP Motorsport, one for Drivex (Franco Colapinto, 2019) and one for Saintéloc Racing (Théophile Naël, 2023) — confirming Campos among the select few to have produced multiple champions.
Race 1 itself saw Strauven take a lights-to-flag victory to secure the championship, ahead of compatriot Eyckmans, who jumped Lammers off the line to complete a Belgian one-two. The race was otherwise calm, with the most notable action involving team-mate duels such as Miki Blascos versus Alexander Jacoby at Monlau.
In Race 2, Strauven made it nine wins for the season after converting Pole into another controlled victory. Lammers shadowed him for all fifteen laps but never found a way past around the twisty Ricardo Tormo circuit. Przyrowski completed the podium, while Miguel Costa impressed with sixth place, scoring nearly half of his total points in a single weekend.
The final race brought a new winner to the weekend. René Lammers made the perfect start from the front row, out-braking Strauven into Turn 1 and controlling all twenty laps to take his fourth victory of the season for MP Motorsport. Behind them, Reno Francot fought off Przyrowski to claim third by just two-tenths at the flag. The race also confirmed Ean Eyckmans as the 2025 Rookie Champion, his nine podiums and consistent pace throughout the season making him the top debutant.
There was also reason to celebrate for Santino Panetta, who climbed onto the rookie podium — the second in TC Racing’s history, both achieved at Valencia after the team’s first one-year prior in 2024 — highlighting another milestone for the growing outfit.
Further highlights included a strong fifth-place finish for Andrej Petrović (T-Code by Amtog), his best of the season, and a solid weekend for local driver Nacho Tuñón. Nathan Tye scored points after an intense battle with Noah Monteiro, as both continue to fight closely in the standings for top-5 honors.
With one round remaining, Thomas Strauven is the new F4 Spanish Champion on 345 points, ahead of René Lammers (220), Ean Eyckmans (195), and Jan Przyrowski (188). In the Teams’ classification, Griffin Core by Campos Racing remains on top with 470 points, followed by MP Motorsport (384).
The 2025 F4 Spanish Championship will conclude at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya from 14–16 November.
