SJM Theodore PREMA Racing saw a promising and exciting day turn into disappointment today at the 72nd Macau Grand Prix. The team fought for the win in the opening half of the FIA FR World Cup main race, with a stunning overall display, but ended up with a triple DNF.
 

SJM Theodore PREMA Racing will take off from the front row of the 72nd Macau Grand Prix Qualification Race tomorrow at the Guia Circuit. Freddie Slater performed brilliantly in Day 2 of qualifying, in a session that proved extremely challenging. Overnight rain meant that the track was not particularly quicker than on Thursday, and contacts with the wall led to multiple stoppages. That had an effect on how the results unfolded.

Chip Ganassi Racing has signed Cam Becker to its driver development program. At 11 years old, Becker is the first driver signed to the new program, which was announced by the team late last year. Becker is the youngest ever champion of the Lucas Oil Formula Car Race Series. Winning six races and scoring 11 podium finishes in 15 races, Becker won the championship in late October. Next year, he will continue to compete and test across multiple open-wheel disciplines.

With a scintillating drive on Thursday’s Qualifying 1 session, Freddie Slater led the opening day of the 2025 Macau Grand Prix. While a late red flag forced drivers to come back on track for one final push, the British sensation posted an excellent lap of 2m15.708 to beat his closest competitor by more than 3 tenths of a second.

PREMA Racing announces that Beco Bernoldi will join the team for the 2026 season. Charlotte – Ligier Junior Formula Championship (Ligier JFC) announced that it will expand to two classes beginning in 2026, accepting both the first-generation Ligier JS F4 car and a modified version of the second-generation Ligier JS F422 car to run side by side. With both cars eligible to race in Ligier JFC, teams or drivers owning the newer Ligier JS F422 will enjoy both increased flexibility and usage opportunities, as they’re able to compete in either Ligier JFC or Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.) with just a few simple parts changes. Regardless of which car they use, all drivers competing in Ligier JFC will have equal opportunity to stand on the podium and earn the championship-winning scholarship, as both classes will be recognized separately on race podiums and with year-end prizes.

The Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine returned to the track this morning at Monza for the final qualifying session of the year. The atmosphere was electric ahead of what promises to be a historic afternoon at the Temple of Speed, where the series will contest its 100th race and crown not only the 2025 Drivers’ Champion, already decided in favour of Freddie Slater, but also the Teams’ title, still open between R-ace GP and Prema Racing.

PREMA Racing put up a dominant showing as the 2025 E4 Championship came to its close at Monza. One week after claiming the Italian Formula 4 title, Japanese-Slovakian Kean Nakamura-Berta delivered an incredible triple win at Monza to claim the three-event series title in absolute style. Nakamura started from pole in all three races and was able to fight back even when the opening stages didn’t allow him to take control. In addition to scoring four wins, he only once finished off the podium, and it was a P4.

The Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine celebrated a major milestone today at Monza with its 100th race, marked by another dominant performance from Freddie Slater. The Prema Racing driver, who sealed the Drivers’ title yesterday, delivered a flawless drive from pole to take his eighth victory of the season, entering the record books by matching the all-time winning tally of Paul Aron and Grégoire Saucy. The record for the most career wins in the series remains in the hands of Rafael Câmara, who scored nine victories over two seasons, including seven in 2024.
 

Kean Nakamura-Berta delivered a perfect weekend in the final round of the E4 Championship. Already leading the standings ahead of the round, the Japanese-Slovakian Prema Racing driver left no room for rivals, claiming three wins out of three races over the weekend. The E4 Championship title was only decided at the final checkered flag, thanks to main rival Gabriel Gomez (US Racing), who fought hard to keep the contest alive until the very end. Nakamura-Berta finished the season with 181 points, including four wins, three second places, one third, and one fourth. Celebrating with him were the Vicenza-based team, who had already secured the team title after Race 2, and teammate Oleksandr Bondarev, who also won the Rookie class after Race 2. In Race 3, the women’s title was also decided, with Emily Cotty (R-ace GP) overtaking Ginevra Panzeri (AKM Motorsport) at the very end to claim the championship by a single point in a closely contested battle.

Freddie Slater has officially been crowned the 2025 Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine Champion following a decisive performance in Race 1 at Monza, the final round of the season organised by ACI Sport and Alpine Racing. The British driver adds his name to the prestigious list of past champions, joining Grégoire Saucy (2021), Dino Beganovic (2022), Andrea Kimi Antonelli (2023), and Rafael Camara (2024).
 

A spectacular start to the final weekend of the 2025 E4 Championship unfolded at Monza, with Race 1 delivering plenty of drama and several safety car interventions. From 2026, the FIA Formula Regional European Championship will adopt the new Tatuus T-326, marking the introduction of the second generation of Formula Regional cars.

The sixth and penultimate round of the 2025 F4 Spanish Championship at Valencia crowned Thomas Strauven as the new overall champion and Ean Eyckmans as the Rookie Champion, marking a historic all-Belgian weekend in the series. Strauven sealed the title with five races to spare — the earliest coronation in the championship’s history — by winning Saturday’s opening race, while Eyckmans clinched his rookie crown after Race 3 on Sunday.
