The 25th Winter Cup, opener of season 2020 scheduled for February 14-16 at the South Garda Karting circuit in Lonato has 305 drivers in the provisional entry list of the four categories KZ2, OK, OK-Junior and Mini Rok.

Some of the greatest talents in karting will compete in Finland this weekend for the 2019 FIA Karting World Championship in the OK and OK Junior categories. Organised by AKK, the Finnish ASN, the Flying Finn Race will take place at the PowerPark circuit at Alahärma near Kauhava. It will be the first time that the prestigious titles have been decided in Finland, a country with a rich history in what is a historic and important area of motorsport. 

A new win this weekend for Andrea Kimi Antonelli, the young kart driver from Bologna in the team Rosberg Racing Academy, with Kart Republic material supplied directly by Mercedes and with the supervision of Giovanni Minardi of Minardi Management.

The progress of the young drivers of the Rosberg Racing Academy is confirmed at every race. At the third round of the WSK Super Master Series in Muro Leccese (Southern Italy), Andrea Kimi Antonelli achieved another great success in OK-Junior with his KR-IAME in Ravenol branding. The second round of the WSK Super Master Series, which was run on the same circuit of Lonato as the Winter Cup held the week before, validated the directions taken by the Rosberg Racing Academy, allowing its drivers to fight at the top of the rankings. Of the three Ravenol-branded KR-IAME karts, Taylor Barnard scored the best result with a 4th place finish in OK. Despite a technical problem that probably deprived him of the win in Junior, Andrea Kimi Antonelli is at the top of the rankings in this very competitive series.

Finding the most promising drivers and guiding them to international success is the mission of the Rosberg Racing Academy. In Northern Italy, Andrea Kimi Antonelli's victory in OK-Junior at the prestigious Winter Cup more than ever confirms the accuracy of this project and the perfect organisation put in place by Nico Rosberg and the Kart Republic organisation, in partnership with Ravenol.

The 24th Winter Cup ended with spectacular final stages in Lonato. The International event set a record participation of 310 drivers coming from 43 different countries.

Already well established after the WSK Champions Cup, the Rosberg Racing Academy stayed at the Adria Karting Raceway in early February for the start of the WSK Super Master Series. The preparation of 2019’s young drivers continues for a season full of promise. Following Barnard's victory a week earlier, the performance was still there for the KR-IAME equipment in the Ravenol colours, with two more top sixes and narrowly missed podiums for Taylor Barnard in OK and Andrea Kimi Antonelli in OK-Junior.

The 2019 international karting season has begun as it ended with the Rosberg Racing Academy and its driver Taylor Barnard: a victory! At Adria in Italy, the young Briton celebrated his move to the next level with his first success in OK at the WSK Champions Cup.

In 2018, the launch of the Rosberg Racing Academy was successful, with the title of FIA Karting World Champion won by Lorenzo Travisanutto in OK and Taylor Barnard's victory in Junior in the WSK Final Cup series.
