Gabriel Gomez, Brazilian talent racing with US Racing, claimed another victory, starting from pole and firmly defending the lead through multiple restarts. Scarperia e San Piero (FI) - At the Mugello Circuit, 38 drivers competing in the Italian F.4 Championship took to the track for official qualifying, pushing against the clock to secure the best possible starting position for the weekend’s races. Pole position for Race 1 went to Prema Racing’s Kean Nakamura-Berta, while Mercedes junior Alex Powell of R-ace GP will start from the front in both Race 2 and Race 3, a positive turnaround after a challenging start to the season.

Sebastian Wheldon, the American driver racing for Prema Racing, claimed victory in Race 3, which featured drivers from Groups A and C. This marked the final contest of the group stage before the Vallelunga Final race, where the top 36 drivers of the weekend will compete.

The results from both sessions will set the grid for three of the four races scheduled over the weekend. The final race, set for Sunday evening, will feature only the top 36 drivers, selected based on points and placements earned in the first three races.

The Euro 4 Championship 2024, the second edition of the Championship promoted by ACI Sport and WSK Promotion, concluded with Race 3 at Monza. The new Champion is Akshay Bohra, the Indian-American driver from US Racing. After two P2 finishes this weekend, Bohra entered Race 3 as the Championship leader, with only Freddie Slater from Prema Racing and Hiyu Yamakoshi from Van Amersfoort left in the title fight. However, Yamakoshi needed nothing less than a win, with Bohra finishing out of the points, to claim the title.
