The first indications of the WSK Super Master Series in Sarno

A total of 311 drivers are on track. The pole positions went to Luyet (KZ2), Pesl (OK), Green (OKJ), Francisco (MINI U10), Sheetov (MINI Gr.3) and Perico (OK-NJ).

Qualifying for the second round of the WSK Super Master Series at the International Circuit Napoli has revealed the first protagonists of the weekend. For the second consecutive time this season, participation has been massive across the MINI, OK-NJ, OKJ, OK, and KZ2 categories. Building on the 300 drivers who competed at La Conca on January 25th, this second round has grown to 311 drivers—marking the highest entry count ever recorded for a WSK event in Sarno.

High attendance in all categories

With every category is at full capacity and the major manufacturers and top-tier international teams are involved in a compelling sporting and technical battle that is shaping up in Sarno. This spans from the youth categories —starting with the MINI class and the two Junior categories (OK-NJ and OKJ)—to the highly competitive OK and the high-performance KZ2. The latter features a complete field of top drivers and several new technical solutions being debuted this weekend.

Uncertain weather conditions

The start of the racing weekend was marked by unpredictable weather, with light rain dampening the track right as qualifying began. Only the first session of KZ2 enjoyed near-ideal conditions—though still using rain tyres—before the rain intensified during the second KZ2 session. The track remained wet for all subsequent qualifying sessions across all other categories. Predictably, the tricky conditions led to several surprises and upsets, impacting even some of the top performers from the opening round at La Conca.
