Mattéo Spirgel's victory in the Final, combined with Pedro Hiltbrand's retirement, tipped the balance in favour of the French driver at the expense of the Spaniard. In KZ2, Maksim Orlov finished his Championship with a flawless performance: three Finals, three victories! His victory is undisputed. In the FIA Karting Academy Trophy - Junior, thanks to his success in the Final at Mülsen, Finland's Oiva Vettenranta drew level on points with France's Maël Le Marchand, the winner at Valencia. Everything will be decided at the final competition in Italy in September.

Birelart KZ driver Pedro Hiltbrand came very close to winning the FIA Karting European Championship at the third and final round in Mülsen, Germany, before an engine problem ended his hopes. In KZ2, young Noah Wolfe (VAR by Birelart) showed great determination, finishing just off the podium.

The 2025 FIA Karting European Championship in the KZ and KZ2 categories got off to a chaotic start due to problems with tyre supplies. However, the KR Motorsport team bounced back, first in Sarno with Danilo Albanese returning to the top six, then in Mülsen with a podium finish. The entire team and its drivers are now motivated to shine in October at the upcoming World Championship in Franciacorta.

In KZ, Mattéo Spirgel dominated the event from pole position to the Final and took the European Championship crown, one year after his European title in KZ2. In this category, the Sodi-TM drivers from CPB Sport monopolised the entire podium, with Maksim Orlov winning ahead of Jayden Thien and Timo Jüngling. Winner of the three Finals in Spain, Italy and Germany, Orlov is logically the new KZ2 European Champion.

Third and final round of the FIA European Championship KZ and KZ2 this week at the German circuit of Mülsen. The second round of the German Kart Championship season in Mülsen had a lot to offer. While Markus Kajak (DKM), Milan Rossi (DJKM), Jayden Thien (DSKC), Devin Titz (DMKM), Bruno Greiling (X30 Junior) and Aaron Garcia Lopez (X30 Senior) won their finals, changing weather conditions on Sunday made for exciting racing. 210 drivers travelled to Saxony and battled for more championship points on the 1,315-metre Arena E race track.

The German Kart Championship will use Aspen+ fuel in the coming season. Specialised fuel for small engines. Fuel has already been introduced successfully in karting in the USA and Sweden.

The race calendar comprises a total of five race weekends and will be held at the biggest circuits in Germany. In addition to the four DKM championships, the IAME Series Germany will once again be part of the supporting programme. A preliminary title decision was possible in several classes, but some favourites faltered.

The new season of the German Kart Championship gets underway this weekend at Arena E in Mülsen. Approaching 190 drivers are expected to line up in six classes. There is a particular focus on youth development, as the “Road to DTM” programme has been expanded to include the German Kart Championship (DKM).

The German Kart Championship (DKM) is under starter’s orders for the 2024 season. The registration period for the top German karting series begins in mid-January.
