Sodikart is double 2025 European Champion In KZ and KZ2

The FIA Karting European Championship ended on a high note for Sodikart at the Mülsen circuit. In KZ, Mattéo Spirgel dominated the event from pole position to the Final and took the European Championship crown, one year after his European title in KZ2. In this category, the Sodi-TM drivers from CPB Sport monopolised the entire podium, with Maksim Orlov winning ahead of Jayden Thien and Timo Jüngling. Winner of the three Finals in Spain, Italy and Germany, Orlov is logically the new KZ2 European Champion.

Victory and title for Mattéo Spirgel in KZ

The three Sodikart drivers proved extremely competitive in Mülsen, which was hosting an FIA Karting event for the first time. After Mattéo Spirgel's sensational pole position, the Frenchman emerged as the leader of the Qualifying Heats with three wins out of three ahead of his team-mates Senna Van Walstijn and Jean Nomblot, who set one of the fastest laps in the race. Van Walstijn then won the Super Heat.

In the Final, Spirgel made a perfect start and led the race from the first to the last lap. By scoring no less than 100 points in a single weekend, he was crowned champion in the premier class of gearbox karts. While Van Walstijn was unlucky, Nomblot climbed to 4th place, both in the Final at Mülsen and in the final Championship standings. At the World Championship in Franciacorta, Sodikart will arrive as the leader in the FIA Karting Team Championship.

Sodikart retains its title in KZ2

Winner of the FIA Karting European Championship - KZ2 in 2024, the Sodi chassis is still the benchmark in the category this season. Maksim Orlov and the CPB Sport team made their mark by remaining undefeated in the three events in Valencia, Sarno and Mülsen. The results of the Mülsen competition and the podium photo speak for themselves: pole position for Jayden Thien, three wins in the heats for the young Dutch rookie and one for Maksim Orlov, then double success in the Super Heats with Jayden Thien and Timo Jüngling. These three drivers continued to prove the competitiveness of the Sodikart chassis all the way to the podium, with Orlov on the top step, flanked by Thien, who set the fastest lap, and Jüngling.

By placing a fourth Sodi-TM in the top five, Maximilian Schleimer took the opportunity to move up to 3rd in the final standings of the European Championship won by Maksim Orlov. In addition, CPB Sport has already secured the FIA Karting Team Championship title in KZ2.

Team manager Paul Bizalion commented

"Collecting so many trophies in a single weekend is incredible! This final round of the 2025 FIA Karting European Championship in Germany will remain a memorable event for Sodikart and CPB Sport. The Sodi chassis proved to be as effective with Dunlop tyres in Valencia and Sarno as it was with LeCont tyres in Mülsen. As has been the case for many years, our equipment performs well in all conditions and our team has confirmed its ability to adapt. We have achieved our goal with these two European Championship titles. Congratulations are due to Mattéo Spirgel and Maksim Orlov, but also to all our other drivers, the entire team, and the engine manufacturers Cédric Sport Motors and Sani Competition. A year after our triumph in Portimao, we will obviously be arriving at the World Championship in Franciacorta in October with very high goals.”
