Parolin Motorsport began the 2025 WSK Final Cup with a weekend of strong performances and outright speed at Franciacorta. The team featured prominently across the Mini U10, OK-Junior and OK categories, while Parolin chassis also reached the podium with Modena Kart and shone in the hands of other partner teams.
In Mini U10, Zayne Burgess was among the stars of the event. After a superb Qualifying and two heat wins, he took victory in Prefinal B and finished just a quarter of a second from the win in the Final, finishing 4th overall. Muhammad Wibowo delivered one of the biggest recoveries of the weekend, climbing from the back of the field after not setting a time in Qualifying to take 8th in Prefinal A and 21st in the Final with a gain of 14 positions. Alexandr Machac also showed consistency in the heats to finish 14th overall before finishing 33rd in the Final after a first lap clash.
In OK-Junior, Oskari Walle confirmed Parolin’s competitiveness with a 6th-place finish in the Final after running near the front all weekend. Gioele Girardello impressed with two heat 2nd places and set the fastest lap of the Final at 48.623s, recovering to 17th after a Prefinal DNF. Giacomo Giusto gained seven positions to take 28th after a spoiler penalty, while Juan Garciarce retired on the first lap.
In OK, Bruno Blanco underlined the potential of the Parolin-TM package with 7th in Qualifying and competitive pace throughout, despite a challenging series of heats that left him 30th in the Final.
The Parolin chassis shone again in the OK-N Junior category with the Modena Kart Racing Team. Nojus Stasionis delivered a brilliant drive to 3rd place, only 0.12s from victory and with one of the fastest laps of the race.
“Franciacorta once again proved how competitive the WSK Final Cup can be, and I’m pleased with how our factory and satellite teams performed. Zayne Burgess fought for victory in Mini U10, Oskari Walle and Gioele Girardello showed excellent pace in OK-Junior, and Bruno Blanco continued to gain experience in OK”, commented Marco Parolin.
“Our partners also played a key role in representing Parolin across the paddock. The Modena Kart team achieved a well-deserved podium with Nojus Stasionis in OK-N Junior, LA Motorsport brought Parolin into the KZ2 top ten, and Babyrace demonstrated our Mini chassis’ pace with several strong results. The overall speed, consistency and teamwork across the Parolin family give us strong momentum going into the final races of the year.”
Parolin Motorsport has begun an exciting new collaboration with AKM Motorsport, strengthening its presence in the OKN-Junior category. The partnership immediately delivered promising results at Franciacorta, where Federico Rossi produced a strong performance in his debut outing. Running consistently inside the top ten throughout the weekend, Rossi showcased the pace and drivability of the Parolin/TM package in the national engine class, confirming the potential of the new technical and sporting alliance between Parolin Motorsport and AKM Motorsport.
The next event will be the second round of the WSK Final Cup, which will take place in Cremona from 7th to 9th November.
