The Lenovo Kalì Kart Team ready to debut at the WSK Final

This week, from October 22 to 26 at the Franciacorta track, Round 1 of the WSK Final Series is scheduled to take place. For the official Kalì Kart team, it will be the first race featuring the new livery of title sponsor Lenovo, and therefore also the first official appearance under its new name — Lenovo Kalì Kart Team — on the official Entry List.

The WSK Final Series will consist of three events: after this opening round in Franciacorta, Round 2 will be held in Cremona on November 9, and the concluding race will take place in Lonato on November 23. The official Kalì Kart team, led on track by technician Mariano de Faveri, will use this important end-of-season international series — which features all the most prominent teams and drivers in international karting — to finalize the driver lineup for next season.

Four drivers will compete in this first event: Greek driver Filippo Troulis and Polish driver Filip Stec in MINI U10, along with Vincenzo Salierno in OKN Junior, and Russian driver Ilya Berezkin in OK, the top “direct drive” class.

The event schedule will get underway in earnest on Friday, when free practice sessions conclude and both qualifying and the first heat races will be held. Saturday will feature additional qualifying heats, while Sunday’s program will include the Super Heats and the Finals in the early afternoon. Over 350 drivers are expected to compete, and the weather forecast predicts stable conditions with no rain. The event can be followed on the official Series website ([www.wskarting.it](http://www.wskarting.it)), where Live Timing and Live Streaming will be available, along with all results and standings.

Marco Angeletti, head of CRG and coordinator of the Lenovo project, introduced this first race in Lenovo colors following the partnership announcement last September:

“This weekend’s race carries more emotional value than sporting value for all of us. We are excited and proud to bring into the world of karting a global brand that is already a partner of Formula 1 and an active player in motorsport in general. We are working to build a 2026 season at the highest levels, and these end-of-season WSK races are an excellent testing ground to gradually integrate new members of the technical staff — but above all, new drivers, who will be the main protagonists of this operation in partnership with Lenovo.”

“The goal is to create a development pipeline and an Academy to support the most deserving drivers in their growth path — not only in karting but also in car racing. At this Franciacorta round, we will have four drivers, including two in MINI U10, which will be one of the key categories in our future strategies, alongside our commitments in OKJ and OK in FIA Karting races. In the next races, we plan to expand to six drivers, covering essentially all Under-16 categories, which are the focus of our project. We can’t wait to begin this ambitious and exciting journey with Lenovo — a journey that starts with our first steps this very weekend.”
