The Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Golden Trophy took place once again last weekend at Karting Genk in Belgium. 181 competitors from 26 nations dueled at the demanding ‘Home of Champions’ and delivered exciting racing in the alternating weather conditions. Originally scheduled at the height of summer in Le Mans, the 2nd edition of the Rotax MAX Challenge International Trophy had to adapt to the Covid-19 pandemic like everyone else. Thanks to the important preparation work carried out by the 3MK Events team, the event could be rescheduled in Portugal from 8th to 13th December 2020. With nearly 230 participants and a rigorous health protocol, the competition is already shaping up to be a success as the Qualifying Practices have just been completed.

Four weeks after the kick-off of the Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy in Belgium, the European Rotax racers headed for Germany where the second round of the season was held from September 4th to 6th, 2020. Venue was the Prokart Raceland in Wackersdorf which equally hosted the halfway event of the elite RMC racing format. Although the Micro and Mini MAX categories were not part of program this time, over 100 drivers from more than 20 nations entered the second meeting of the year, providing the opening round winners and overall leaders a competitive mid-season event.

Best prepared, the modern karting complex of Campillos near Malaga was a perfect venue for the season kick-off – a challenging 1,588 metres long track with professional facilities for all involved. And even the weather was perfect. A sunny but windy weekend with temperatures of about 18° C guaranteed best race conditions for the drivers who were heading for victory in the categories of Micro MAX, Junior MAX, Senior MAX, MAX DD2 and MAX DD2 Masters.

In the middle of the summer month of July (12th – 14th) the Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy headed northwards. Six weeks after the outstanding season kick-off at the Italian Adria International Karting Raceway, the Asum-Ring in Kristianstad, Sweden, was the next top race track in the calendar of Europe's professional RMC karting series. 85 drivers from around 20 nations made their journey to Scandinavia to compete in the 2019 mid-season event on the 1,234 metre circuit. The spectators on-site, as well as the fans watching the live stream, witnessed some thrilling battles throughout the weekend program, at the end of which some new faces were added to the European Rotax winners’ list while the first champion was crowned as well.

From May 31 to June 2, the waiting was finally over: The Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy 2019 kicked off its second year. In April, the series had already given an impressive foretaste of the season with a successful Open race format at Genk, Belgium. Now, round one officially opened the championship in Italy. Therefore, the choice fell on the ultra-modern track of the Adria Karting Raceway not far from Venice
